Quite a considerable distance away, I reach a park. Looking around me I make sure for nothing to be around us as I rest my hands on my waist as I call for her, "This should do for some privacy."
She appears across from me staring with a glare, "Done making friends?"
"They aren't friends," I cross my arms, "That would make them something to use against me and would cause them their death. I am afraid that our enemies might as well have passed through the same crack we did."
She snarls at me, "Really? A moment ago you were barely able to stand now we have answers."
I furrow my brow at her, "What's gotten you so worked up?"
"Nothing," she sighs turning away from me, "As for them, what do we plan to do?"
I shake my head, "Something is clearly wrong," waiting for her to speak I then groan, "Don't let me use a command spell just for you to tell me what is bugging you, Jeanne."
"Use it then," she challenges my threat.
"You think I wouldn't use it on something as simple as that?"
She stares at me for a few moments before remarking, "I almost forgot for a second that my master possessed at least a little bit of intelligence. Though your foolish human nature seems to guide you."
I recoil in confusion, "It is more of the sentiment of wanting to be on equal ground with my servant. Your needs and wants are on the same level of importance as my own. I don't need more enemies and you are my only ally."
"Oh?" she laughs at me, "Look at you squirm over poor little me, and how amusing that I am the only ally you have. You are better off dead, Master."
"I don't believe that," fully expecting a remark, she doesn't respond but only holds her stare. "There were plenty of times you could have killed me, plenty of times where you could have left me to die. I grow tired of this game you are playing where you swear bloody murder and all you have ever done is look out for me."
Her gaze grows softer, "Suprised, Avenger? That I pay attention to such details. I was meaning to thank you for the effort and for being by my side but if it weren't for your bitterness it could have been a lot more pleasant."
"Careful."
"Warn me all you want, I will speak my mind as I have allowed you to do yours. I ask little of you and expect only cooperation," I sigh rubbing my forehead to prevent a headache from my anger, "If you desire to do so, Avenger, then kill me. I won't stop you. At least that way you would save me from this damned headache."
I lower my hand from my face only to see her glance off into the distance with her arms crossed under her chest, "You are annoying, Master."
I couldn't help but smirk at her response, "Yeah. Though as I said. Thank you for aiding me, Jeanne. Even when it was not expected," I offer her a smile only to receive a disgusted expression, "You can try and work on your facial expressions when receiving gratitude."
"You can work on your speeches of gratitude," she counters with a small smile.
"Back on track-"
She interrupts me, "Your wound. It... something about it sets me off. Makes my skin crawl though somehow I feel like it is something I know."
I lift my shirt only to be shocked with the black vein-like markings, "That could be a problem."
"I assume it to be the work of the Grail but why would it heal like that?"
I narrow my eyes, "I don't feel much different but this could be an affliction of some sort of curse. I don't think that Saber has any curses so this may be an indirect effect from the Grail itself."
She nods, "Pay attention to it. Lest it kills you," she then turns fully to me, "Now that you have made it pretty clear that my concerns are on your level-"
I lift my shoulders, "Didn't really expect you to keep it to yourself, to begin with," I admit, "I have gotten quite used to the fact that you have quite a mouth on you," the muscles in her face tenses as I realize that this might be the only time she is ever serious, "I'll stop now."
"What about those Masters and Servants?"
"We ignore them, for now at least. They may prove useful later if we ever need anything," I then lift my hands, "Like needing to get to the Grail for example."
"Then we would have to pick between those two," she states.
I nod, "I am aware. We should try to stay out of it."
"Boring," she remarks, "I don't want to sit around doing nothing while you try and figure out what the hell you are doing."
"There will be plenty of time for fighting, this is a Grail war with five other masters that would love to fight us. On the other hand, we have to make sure there aren't any other Masters from our timeline."
"And them?"
"They die."
She smirks, "Something I can agree with."
"As for the talking-"
She stops me, "Yes - yes. I will let you do your thing. I don't care for them and only wish to get the Grail."
"Yeah," I then avert my gaze, I fear it may be the only reason you haven't killed me yet.
But I don't really want to look into it at all. As far as I am concerned I don't think you will ever kill me only because you had plenty of chance to do it. I am still just trying to wrap my head around it despite being so calm and collected about it all.
I am just going of speculation and hoping that it is close to the truth.
"There's a fight," she remarks.
I smirk, "Took you some time to sense it," I then gesture with my head, "Best not to keep them waiting, now would it."
Arching her brow, "I thought we were staying out of it."
I nod, "I said I would. My control over you only stretches as far as two simple spells," I then stop her before she disappears, "The two masters we met. Stay clear from them, they aren't our enemies and can still be useful, fight alongside them if you must."
"And you?"
"I will be watching. If anyone else got pulled so will they," I chuckle, "So do try not to overexert yourself."
She disappears with a smirk on her face. The bloodlust in her is almost that of a berserker and I feel like she is toning it down. Making it not seem as much as it really is - though I am surprised that I managed to deal with her the way I did without losing any of my limbs.
I chuckle at myself as I smile towards the direction she left, "I am afraid you wouldn't want to hear that I have some admiration for you, Jeanne. Hah, if I told you that you would kill me."
I will kill you.
I only laugh at her response, "Sorry. I didn't mean for you to learn it this way. I sometimes forget that if I am not careful you can hear everything I say."
That's a lie. The truth is I wanted you to hear that just a moment ago, but you left so quickly I lost the chance to do so. All because I got a little bit anxious like a little boy that just had his first love and ended up telling you not to fight the people we just met.
Well, I still don't want you to fight them.
Now with that settled whatever feeling you feel now because of my sudden confession you can fight it out of your system, or if you don't hate the sound of it too much I might actually just pursue you -
