I didn't expect them to believe us but for now, a truce was established in my honor for stopping my servant from attacking as well as being willing to give solid information about why I am from a different timeline.
But it is all surreal - Fuyuki City... I can't believe it is still untouched and in such a good state as well. How strange.
Jeanne has been ignoring all of my attempts to communicate through our link, I can tell she doesn't agree with the sudden truce but she has to realize that we are fighting at a disadvantage and without any Mana.
I would be nothing but useless.
But I have no idea where she is leading us. But that is fine - the silence has given me enough room to consider a lot of things. My theory about our Grail was correct, it was broken or at least the power from it was leaking because someone tampered with it... or maybe because it has always been like this and nobody bothered looking.
Trust the church to notice something like that and hide it from everyone.
Then again - I am just assuming I am correct but there is nothing else to go off of.
But more importantly... is it just us that got transported or did other servants get pulled into this timeline? This Grail will probably not respond to us at all so I have to find the crack in reality that led us here and shoot ourselves back into it.
After all that Grail is still waiting to be claimed.
Are you still going to ignore me?
I try again but to no avail. She doesn't respond but she does give me the side-eye. I don't know what has gotten her so worked up.
I suddenly become critically aware of my fatigue. Growing lightheaded my knees are getting weaker almost ready to give in from underneath me. I focus on keeping my legs underneath me despite my vision slowly getting blurred by each passing second.
"What's wrong with him?" I hear the other Master ask.
"He will be fine," I slowly lift my head only to realize that I almost collapsed and Jeanne is the only reason I am able to stand on my feet.
"I... I'll be fine."
"We are here anyway-"
Their conversation was cut short and despite my vision, I could see the outline of yet another duo. I can't believe we managed to get in the middle of something like this. My breathing has considerably slowed down.
My hearing has all but faded - it felt like I was slowly dying without any pain. Everything was giving in. An effect of narrowly escaping death? I don't know. The last thing I saw before it all went black was her golden-yellow eyes staring into mine.
"Hey... hey? Are you okay, you blacked out on us."
My vision slowly came back to me as I realize that the scenery has drastically changed. The strangest part wasn't that my fatigue was gone but the fact that I am sitting in a room with two masters from an unknown timeline is strange.
I then look at the girl, "Was I?"
She nodded, "Yes. I used something to bolster your system and it seemed to work. I didn't know what was the problem considering that your Servant wouldn't let me inspect your body and claimed that you had no wounds."
"Where is she?"
Another person speaks, a boy, "I offered for her to stay but she said she'd rather not."
"That would probably for the best, short fuses and all," I then sigh a breath of relief, "I am thankful for you aiding me and to you who I assume who's home this is for allowing my presence."
"Think nothing of it," he says.
"Then, I assume names are in order. My name is (Y/N) (L/N)."
The girl goes first, "Rin Tohsaka."
"Shirou. Shirou Emiya."
I nod, "Then allow me to explain my situation and my knowledge as it would be best if I got out of your hair. My goals as of now are neither you nor the rest of the Masters that play a part in this Grail War."
"Grail War?"
Rin then jumps in, "Excuse Shirou, he is a novice magus. I will take the time to explain to him the details after you have taken your leave."
I nod, "Very well. I come from Earth much like this one. Though Fuyuki city was destroyed in the year 2011. The cause of that would be the Grail war that took place - I have no knowledge of which one in the series."
I continue, "My timeline is currently at the year 2133, Tenshinhan city. Though I imagine that really doesn't have much use in this conversation."
"How did you get here? If I may ask?" the Saber behind Shirou asks.
"I don't know. Much like Servants being able to summon from different timelines I imagine this has something to do with the Grail from my timeline. In short, the Grail is... for a lack of a better word... broken."
"How broken?" Rin asks, "How can something like the Grail ever be considered as such?"
"It must have been tampered with or either corrupted. Or maybe that is just how that specific Grail works that the System that we imagined it to be was completely falsified, but all of this is speculation of what may be possible but it all needs to be proven still."
"Now that you are here, what do you plan on doing?"
I narrow my eyes, "For now, find a way back home," even if home wants to kill me, "The Grail has yet to conquer in my timeline. Rest easy," I say as I lift myself to my feet, "I have no intention of going after your Grail as it would not respond to me."
Shirou then asks, "Why not?"
Rin answers for me as she lowers her gaze, "Because he was not chosen. In the eyes of this Grail, it already chose those who it deemed worthy."
"Correct," I then glance towards the door, "I do not wish to intrude further but if my assistance is needed then feel free to approach me of your own volition. Be warned, however, I fear I may not be the only one from my timeline to have been transported."
"If they do become a problem?"
"I will deal with them," I turn bow in gratitude, "I appreciate you for remedying my health and the hospitality."
I leave the room for them to have their conversations. On one hand, the Servants would be more understanding but for those two it might take a while to believe me - I don't blame them. Magic of this power is unheard of and should only be possible through the power that the Grail possesses.
Now... we must plan our next move.
