Even though my surroundings have shifted, even though I couldn't sense her presence anymore. I knew she waiting for me, patiently.

This world that I hold so dear, one that I find to be the most beautiful lacked everything a normal world would. Its breeze was comforting, the sun in the sky didn't burn my skin, my surroundings were only lone trees filled with fields of green grass.

This is supposed to be based on my conscious yet I never believed it. Now that the Grail's corruption is here - the world was shattered. The sky was blood red as if it was broken. The Ground is hard and rock solid.

The wind is dry and the air I breathe hurts my throat... now, this is what I always expected it to look like.

Lifting my hand to the blue hole in the sky, "Take me as your vessel, let your corruption become me!"

"That's not going to work," I hear a voice, turning my gaze I see myself standing across from me, "You see the Grail can't really corrupt something that is already corrupted."

"Oh?" I chuckle, "Here I thought you were just my malicious thoughts... it seems that you have a mind of your own."

"Don't mistake my inability to take control as weakness, (Y/N). Besides you rejected me, you escaped the original corruption because the purity of the Grail's magic that you stole cleansed your being."

"Upset? It sounds like you had a lot of time to yourself."

"Come on now," he sneers, "That's rude. We both know you and I are no different. You are so twisted deep down inside of you that the death of your friends didn't even make you budge. You pretended that it hurt. I was surprised to feel real emotions from you, but tell me are you surprised at all?"

"Of your existence, no."

"I am talking about her."

I grind my teeth together, "Shut up already, will you?" I snarl at him.

"Oh? You actually do love someone. I thought you were incapable of that much but the more and more I spent trying to assume control I realized that you indeed were capable of something like that... considering that you are an empty man."

I dash towards him to shut him up, though he only grabs me by the throat, "You merely borrowed my strength," throwing me to the ground, stepping on my torso, "I have grown to like her, even though it is only your memories."

Grabbing at something, I lash a whip of flame into his face that pushes him off from me.

"Come on," he laughs, "Are you getting angry? We aren't that much different!"

"If that is the truth," I then tilt my head, "Then why do you exist?"

"Tch. I was hoping for us to fuse, but it seems like you are reluctant to even acknowledge your darkest feelings," he then sneers, "Do you think she will love me all the same if all that is left in your body, is me!"

Appearing in front of me, he lifts his knee into my stomach that launches me into the air. Leaping towards me he slams his fist into my chest that sends me rolling across the ground.

Landing on my back, I cough up the blood in my system, "What does it matter? Even if you win, you will die. She will disappear," I laugh at him, "You don't win in this situation!"

He narrows his eyes, "It is quite regrettable that I won't be able to break you, but I want to see something," he lifts his hand towards the hole, the black energies then all travel into him, "You couldn't cleanse it because I stopped it from ever happening."

"Yet now you are doing exactly what I wanted you to do," I smile at him.

"You will still die here. I will erase your existence and become it!" he roars as his hand pierces my chest, pulling out my still-beating heart, "Farewell, you sad bastard," he tosses it to the side as all the black energies return to him.

Looking up at the sky, my vision starts to darken around the edges, "Isn't it ironic? I should have been dead a very long time ago, yet I feel so alive," I cough up more blood, "After all, she is waiting for me."

"Then rejoice as you will find her in the afterlife."

I shake my head, despite the wound in my chest I raise myself to my feet, "I am on borrowed time, (Y/N). I won't let you destroy anything else, you can have me but nothing else," I feel my palms heat up as he turns to face me, "This world will be our tomb, one we will share with this grail."

He sighs, lifting his hand towards me, "Zenith."

I smirk at him, "Ragnarok."

"Oh?" he laughs, the spell disappears before he is able to cast it fully, "We really are desperate," he then gives me a psychotic smile, "Come then! Your poor circuits won't be able to take it!"

I shake my head, "I am not using my power, did you forget? I studied this magic... I am wielding the power straight from the infinite reserve."

"Your body will turn to dust."

"So will yours," I counter, "Let's see who burns the quickest."

I shut my eyes tightly, thinking of the night we spent together... I want her to be my last memory if I were to die tonight.

Opening my eyes, I glare at him as I pull down the sun. Using my fortifications I dash towards him, leading off with a kick into his core, he takes the blow to deliver his own attack. Trading a flurry of blows that each break down our bodies.

Casting spells after spells to combo with the close combat that sends us both flying in the opposite direction.

Only to recover from it and reengage. Despite the power of the corruption I was leaching everything into my body, powering myself beyond human capabilities. I can feel my circuits being burned out of my body at both the influx and expenditure of my mana.

Finally getting an opening through his defense, I break his arm with my knee as I parry his hook. The pain not even fazing him as he spins around placing his foot under my chin, launching me into the air as he grabs me by the ankle. Slamming me into the ground.

Lifting my palm I shoot a laser of heat into his core that burns right through him. Clutching at his wound I weakly lift myself, "Die."

He spits his blood at me, "Fuck yourself."

I chuckle at his words, placing one hand under his chin and the other at the back of his neck, I rip his head off from his shoulders. Tossing it to the side. Glancing behind me, I see his body dropping to the ground.

With a sigh, I drop to my knees, staring at the Grail, "Hey... do me a favor, will you? If I could wield your power, promise that the two of us will always be together. You were created to serve your human masters after all," I chuckle at the situation, dropping to my back, "I fucked up... I don't even have the capacity in me to save myself," I stare at the sun crashing down, "But... Ragnarok is the only way to destroy this corrupted world I sacrificed."

Shutting my eyes I take my final breath before it slams into this Reality Marble, shattering it completely, "I love you, Jeanne."
