Obi Pov

After I told Mrs. Shirayuki she could leave, I stayed with Claire. I carefully tend to her, giving her an ice cloth for her head.  It's been about 3 hours since her first dose of medicine. She needs to take the rest of the medication before midnight. I hate to wake her up, but she won't get better without it.

I whisper Claire's name to wake her up.  She stirs slightly. I move her hair that's fallen in front of her face.  Her eyes slowly start to open and looks towards me.

"Its time for you to take the rest of the medicine." I said

"I don't want to take it." Claire said

"You know the rules, my dear Claire.  You must take medicine given to you to get better." I said

"But I don't want to. That medicine is gross." Claire said

"I promise you and I can go on a nice date when your better." I stated

"You already promised that the first time. That won't work twice." She stated

"Haha your right. Um,  lets see what would you like my love?" I question

"I can ask for anything?" She questions

"Anything within a good reason yes"  I state

"I want you to take me with you if you plan on leaving the castle especially for long periods at a time."  She mentioned

"If it's safe to do so I promise I will take you with me. Only if it's safe understand?" I say

"Yes I understand... I will take the medicine." She whispered

"That's my girl. Drink the other half and you can go back to sleep." I whispered back.

Without protests Claire is able to drink the rest. Once again she shows a disgusted face. When the glass is finished I put it down in the counter.  I check her temperature and it still seems warm.  I put another ice cloth on her head.  Then I walk towards the door and hear Claire call out to me.

"Please don't go." Claire said

"I'm not going far. Just using the restroom I'll be right back I promise." I said

I leave the room to use the restroom. As I'm walking back I hear voices. I pause before going into the room.

"You should be better soon. Once you are I want to have you over. To share somethings with you." The voice said

"I would like that Izana.  I know you were just trying to be protective and a good brother." Claire said

"I should leave so you can get some rest. It's late and I'm sure Obi is on the way back as well. Rest now we can talk in the morning."

Izana walks out of the room and stops short of the door leaving the medical wing. 

"I leave my sister in your care."  Izana whispers

I walk back into the room and sit down next to Claire.  Claire looks over at me and smiles back. I reach my hand out to check on her temperature. She doesn't appear to be as warm as when I first saw her. I take the ice cloth off her head. 

"Time to sleep. I will be right here with you." I said

"Could you sleep with me in the bed?" Claire questioned

"It might be a little tight for us, but let's try it," I mentioned

I slip into bed next to Claire. I position myself on my side so I can take up less of the space. I wrap my arm around her and then kiss her good night.

Zen Pov

I couldn't sleep so I decided to go for a walk. I quietly left my bedroom as not to disturb Shirayuki.  Then I am walking around for a little bit. I think about who could be sending these letters. Why did they resort to violence? Who are these people? Where do they come from? Could they be from Clairenes or another kingdom?  So many questions but no answers to be found.

I realize I am close to the medical wing. I think about checking in on Obi and Claire. That's when I see someone walk into the medical wing.  Decide to wait for them to come back out. I wait about 5-10 minutes until the doors open again. I then see that it is Izana of all people.

"So you couldn't sleep either?" I question

"You got me. I just wanted to see how she was doing, but I guess I wasn't the only one." Izana whispers

"So, how is she?" I questioned

"We have nothing to worry about. All of the medicine has been taken. I am sure she will feel better in no time. All she needs now is rest. She will be in good care now that Obi has returned. Let's leave them be for tonight." Izana states

"Well then, I guess I will return to my room. I shall see you in the morning for breakfast." I say
