chapter 19

Day 19: making pride-themed art
(Shin-Soukoku)

Akutagawa awoke expecting Atsushi to be sleeping beside him, but he wasn't. He sat up, wiping the sleep from his eyes and looked around. No Atsushi. He got out of bed, now slightly worried, and headed to the living room.

"Atsushi?"

He turned the corner and-

Atsushi was sat by the window, and easel in front of him and painting on a canvas. Akutagawa smiled. He walked over and wrapped his arms around Atsushi's middle. "Good morning, love."

Atsushi turned around, paint on his face, and a smile on his lips. "Hi! How did you sleep?"

"Good. Although I would've liked to wake up to you." He teased.

"I'm sorry, I wanted to get this canvas started." He pointed to the canvas, Akutagawa's eyes trailing to it. It was beautiful, although unfinished. Rainbow aumbre, with a cityscape on the bottom.

"It's beautiful.."

Atsushi blushed. "T- Thank you.." He continued to work on it, with Akutagawa sitting nearby reading a book, occasionally glancing over.

It turned out to be quite a relaxing day.
