This book is pretty old already, meaning that the art in the first few chapters honestly looks pretty bad- atleast I think...

One of their eyes respectively (Ireland's right and N.I's left eye) are yellow with a cross in it. Their normal eye is in both cases green. Their yellow eyes represent their split, and how both of them used to be the same. United Ireland (aka before 1922) had a yellow sclera and green iris for both eyes.
I hope that makes somehow sense...
And so u don't get confused, when I say left, I'm referring to their point if view, not how someone else sees it... yeah... something like that...
