She's based on two things:
• the Wallon rooster
(The red parts of the tail and the small wings folded on the back)
Wallonia is the French speaking part of the country
• the Flemish lion / Belgian lion
The Flemish lion is black, the Belgian lion is golden
(The tail is partly black and yellow, symbolizing both lions, while the ears are only yellow. The eyes are also lion based)
Flanders is the Dutch speaking part of the country
The Belgian lion is both the national animal of Belgium, aswell as being represented on the coat of arms
Yeah, I think I'm done now...
DO NOT underestimate Belgian beer, I know everyone only talks about German, Austrian and Czech beer, but Belgium is part of that group of beer lovers-
