Anyways, here:

Some Northern Ireland content, just for you :)

And yes, I did change his design slightly from the last time I drew him, it was just all over the place and didn't make any sense at all, but congrats to you if you noticed it ^^

And something I'd like to mention again are his eyes; especially the golden/yellow one.

And some Irish history for you history fans out there :))))

Ok, so basically in my AU, Ireland used to be one person throughout pretty much its entire existence. Besides Ireland, there were also its four provinces: Munster in the South, Leinster in the West, Connacht in the East and Ulster in the North.
This changed only when the country actually split into two separate entities after the independence of the Republic of Ireland, with Northern Ireland staying in the Union. In a sense, N.I and R.o.I are the same person, arleast when combined, as they share the same memories and feelings from when they were still one.
Now you might be asking; 'but what does that have to do with his eyes'
Well I'm about to tell ya, just hang on a minute.
If you have ever seen my design for the United Ireland before, you might have noticed that she has dark green eyes (like N.I's right one) but not with a normal white sclera, but with a yellow one. But with the split that changed, as you can see, one eye stayed green but lost its yellow sclera, whilst the other one became completely yellow with a cross in it. Ireland (the Republic) has the same thing, but the eyes are reversed (meaning the green eye is left and the yellow one is right).

The crosses in both their eyes are different however, Northern Ireland has a protestant one, where as the Republic of Ireland has a catholic one. Religious differences where one of the main reasons for the split. (Mind you, it wasn't the only reason, but something that has divided the country for centuries)

And some random fun fact: some countries believe that Northern Ireland is actually the revived representative of the Province of Ulster, since both have pretty much the same territory (Ulster is slightly bigger however with parts of the R.o.I belonging to it aswell) and the flag of Northern Ireland shows the Ulster banner, however that is merely a theory and not true. Although Ulster did play an important role in the split as whole, being the only protestant province out of the four, which often made it a target.

Another fun fact, in my UK design, all of the four countries within the Union are represented through their eyes, meaning Britain has four eyes. His eye representing Ireland however did not change when the split happened, in similar fashion to how the Union Jack didn't change back either. Even though a part of it left, not the entirety of Ireland left the Union, meaning some was still there. That means that the only person whose eyes still look exactly like Ireland's did before is ironically the UK :)
