Y/N POV

I hadn't strayed far from my small semi-safe haven, not wanting to risk accidentally going over any pack borders- though it's fairly obvious where they are-, but food was growing scarce with the cold season on the horizon. I had finally ventured further outward toward the borders hoping for some sign of food. The clothes I had were getting worn through, so I had no choice but to stay in my wolf form until I could find warmer clothes, which with the lack of energy I had was growing increasingly difficult and taxing on my body. Though staying in wolf form wasn't helping much to keep me warm, either, only helping to drain the last of my energy faster. Rogue territory was like a landfill to the other territories and packs, giving me hope that I may be able to find a winter coat. They dumped things that were too old, or they didn't care for into rogue territory. So, all our clothes, shoes, everything had been used by another person. It makes you realize how much the packs take for granted. Here we are barely surviving when you have the pack wolves sometimes throwing out something perfectly new. They wouldn't take all this for granted if they were in my position. I had wandered for a couple of hours when my vision blurred, and my steps became disoriented. It had been about five days since I had eaten anything more than an apple, and I think it was getting to me. I took a few more steps when I stumbled over my feet, my body roughly hitting the ground with a grunt. I got back up as fast as I could, but I couldn't bring myself to move forward. I stood in my spot, shaking my head trying to fix my vision, swaying slightly. There was this pounding in my head, that made me wince, and there was this loud ringing in my ears, causing them to flatten against my head as I let out a small whimper. I was hungry and overrun with fatigue. My head was spinning, the sun was blazing down on me, and I was hot, which wasn't making it any better. My consciousness was slowly deteriorating as the world disappeared from sight.

Sorry for the shorter chapter. I swear the next one will be longer.
