Yoongi's POV

Haru and Eunji had been in there for over half an hour when I heard her office door open. I was slouched on the floor down the hall when I heard the door snapping my head in its direction. I shot up immediately, walking toward Eunji. "Well?" I asked impatiently, desperately wanting to see her.

"She's still unconscious, but Haru is keeping a close eye on her right now while I grab her some food and clothes."

"Okay, you can grab her some of my clothes for her to wear."

"Okay Yoongi, I'll let you know when she's awake." Eunji began to walk away but I quickly grabbed her wrist.

Eunji's POV

As I was walking away, Yoongi grabbed onto my wrist quickly, causing me to flinch. "E-Eunji..." Yoongi called out in such a quiet tone. I almost didn't hear him. I turned around to Yoongi looking almost completely vulnerable, something I don't see very often.

"What's wrong Yoongi? Was there something else you needed?"

"H-how is she? Is she ok?" I hesitated, not sure what to tell him. Obviously, his mate didn't give herself those scars, or at least not all of them if any, someone gave them to her. There is no way in hell Yoongi was going to take that lightly. And on top of that, she's so skinny it would only make Yoongi go more ballistic. I must have been taking too long to respond, because Yoongi cleared his throat. "Ji, what's wrong, is there something wrong with her?" He furrowed his eyebrows as his expression grew worried, a deep frown resting on his face.

"Yoongi she... she's," I stopped trying to collect my thoughts. "I'm not going to lie; she's going to be hard to look at. She's pale, paler than you, almost sickly, she's skinny beyond belief, and malnourished. On the upside though, we see no signs of neural or internal injuries, and she doesn't have any recent sprains, breaks, infections, or lacerations, but we got an X-ray done and it looks like she has three old fractures that were never treated and one that looks like was treated poorly, so it didn't heal properly, and I think someday we may have to do surgery to fix it. She fractured her femur, fibula, and her ulna, and leaving them as they are right now will only cause her pain and difficulty when doing certain tasks. I'd be surprised if she could even walk properly. Sitting alone may be painful at times. As for her weight, it's going to be a long recovery. She's going to have good days, and she's going to have bad days, and the bad days will be without a doubt tough. So, you need to stand by her through those, even if it gets messy. When you see her, you cannot, I repeat, cannot stare at her body for too long, make any comments, or show any sign of disgust." I paused momentarily, sighing. "So please just be careful. She hasn't woken up yet, but I have a feeling this is a rather fragile situation," I said, feeling a slight protectiveness over the Omega after seeing the fragile state she was currently in.

"The last thing I want to do is hurt her."

"Good," I huff, turning around again, walking in the direction of Yoongi's room.

Y/N POV

Drifting back into consciousness, I felt the heaviness of my limbs and the dull throbbing of my head. I tried opening my eyes, only to close them again quickly because of the bright fluorescent lights of an unknown room. I was lying on something soft, almost feeling like a bed, but that's impossible. I pulled the washcloth off my forehead, setting it down beside me before reaching out to the itching sensation at the crook of my elbow only to find a needle in my arm. Once my eyes adjusted, I appeared to be in a... doctor's office? ... But how, though? I felt the familiar tinge of panic creep up my spine, not knowing why I was here. This situation felt a bit too familiar, and I was growing panicked. I glanced around the white-painted room -which only added to its brightness-, lightly decorated with a wooden end table with a vase of fresh daisies, and it smells heavy of bleach and antiseptic making me lightly scrunch my nose in disgust. There was a wooden chair in the corner of the room, currently being occupied by two white blankets. There were a few machines here and there, pretty much all of them being unrecognizable to me. I shifted my gaze further to the right side of the room to see the back of a woman in a white lab coat, her dark brown hair tied up in a high ponytail putting equipment into a drawer. I sat up slowly, trying not to make any noise. My anxiety began creeping up on me, and my wolf was on high alert, fearing the unknown woman in front of me. Once I fully sat up, the bed squeaked under my weight, causing the woman to turn around, and my heart stopped. "Hey, you're finally awake! How are you feeling?" she asked cheerfully. I brought my legs closer to my chest, backing up against the headboard of the bed, subtly trying to reach for anything, some sort of blunt object I could use to defend myself as she calmly advanced towards me. It was pretty clear she quickly caught on to the fear in my eyes and actions as she stopped in her tracks. To show that she meant no harm, she slowly put her hands up while trying to make herself seem smaller and less intimidating. "Hey, hey, I won't hurt you. I promise." She continued taking slow steps toward me. In return, I pushed myself further back against the headboard, letting out a small whimper. There was an Alpha's scent on her, and my mind was too clouded with fear to know it wasn't her scent that was Alpha or the fact that she didn't have the typical stature of one.

"Alpha..." I whispered out, barely audible, but she still caught it, also noticing the fact that I was starting to hyperventilate. Her eyes widened before shaking her head vigorously.

"No, no, I'm not an Alpha, I'm an Omega just like you," she said softly, almost as if trying to console a child. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding before slowly peeling myself away from the headboard, still keeping my guard up.

"Y-you're not an A-Alpha?" My voice came out hoarse and quiet from the lack of use.

"No, I'm not. My name is Lee Haru, I'm a healer in this pack. Could you tell me your name, please?" she spoke in a calm, soothing voice, trying her best to keep me calm.

"L-Lee Y/N," I stammered out. I finally took the time to really look her over, and the first thing I noticed was her unique eyes. I had never seen someone with their wolf and human eye color. It was honestly fascinating.

"You probably think they're weird right," she spoke, breaking me out of my momentary trance.

"W-what?" I asked timidly, tilting my head to the side.

"My eyes, they're weird, right?" She asked, a sad smile playing on his lips, probably having heard that comment many times before. My eyes widened before vigorously shaking my head, chastising myself for staring.

"N-no, I-I think they're beautiful," I answered in a shy manner. In response, a soft smile graced her lips as her shoulders seemed to relax, and I noticed myself doing the same. Then another Omega stepped into the room holding a small stack of neatly folded clothes and two granola bars, causing me to tense up again at the sudden intrusion. It made me realize I was only in a pair of underwear, my top half barely covered by a thin, white, percale sheet. "C-clothes," I mumbled weakly, attempting to cover my body with my arms and more of the sheet in the process, embarrassed that they had seen all my faults. The woman holding the clothes noticed my discomfort and stepped closer, holding out the clothes she had brought, offering me a soft smile. Initially, I flinched away but then grabbed a hold of the clothes before pulling them to my chest once I saw she didn't seem to be a threat. I silently stepped off the bed, turning away from the two Omegas, slipping into the clothes. She had given me an old, slightly faded black hoodless sweatshirt, a pair of black sweatpants, and a sports bra. I had to tighten the drawstrings of the sweatpants as much as possible as well as roll it up a few times and even then, I still had to hold them up, and the legs were way too long. As for the sweatshirt which I carefully put on so it wouldn't disrupt the tube in my arm, it practically engulfed my frail, thin frame, reaching down to my mid-thigh, maybe even lower, and the sleeves were long and hung over my hands. They smelled of an Alpha, like rainwater and pine, with an undertone of coffee, possibly a hint of some cologne. I thought the smell would bring me fear, but it actually calmed me in a sense. It confused me, this scent shouldn't calm me so why does it? I almost couldn't help but subtly sniff at the collar as I adjusted it. I slowly sat back on the bed, crossing my legs, not meeting the gaze of the two girls in front of me. It was silent for a bit. I was playing with the hem of the sweatshirt, wrapping a loose thread through my fingers as I felt the girls' eyes boring into me, as if expecting me to do or say something. "C-could you p-please not stare at me?"

"Sorry," the unknown woman said, looking down at the food in her hand. "I, um, brought this for you," she said, handing me the granola bars.

"T-thank you," I mumbled, playing with the shiny wrapper of the granola bar before ripping it open halfway. Trying to break the silence and loosen the tension, the unknown woman spoke up once again.

"I'm Jung Eunji, by the way."

"Lee Y/N. D-did you help Haru-ssi? D-did you s-see... me?" Eunji looked down at her feet with an almost guilty look on her face, clearly understanding what I meant.

"Yeah, I did," she replied quietly, the tension growing thicker by the second.

"Oh..." I just wanted to curl up in a ball and die. I picked off a small chunk of the granola bar, slowly nibbling at it, relishing the sweet taste, trying to focus on something else other than the blush creeping up my cheeks.

"We won't ask any questions or force you to tell us anything you don't want to. We just want you to know you're safe now."

"Thank you, Eunji-ssi, but why am I here? Why didn't you just leave me out there?" I questioned, feeling a sudden rise in confidence as I turned my gaze up to them.

"I think someone else should answer that for you. Just give me a second and I'll go grab them," Haru said, stepping out of the room, leaving me alone with Eunji.

"Why don't you try eating more while we wait," Eunji suggested before going to sit down on the wooden chair in the corner.
