With the help of the stretches Seokjin had given Y/N it was getting easier and easier to use her wrist. She had gained back the mobility she hadn't had in years, and was healed to the point that she could finally lift moderately heavy things without her wrist hurting. It felt surreal to Y/N, up until now she had never really noticed how much pain her arm, and leg for that matter, had been in until the pain was gone. It was still a bit constraining having her leg in a cast, but she was able to find more ways of keeping herself busy than she was able to the previous week, namely wandering the pack. She never strayed too far from the house as it got tiresome walking on crutches after a while. Where she found herself spending most of her time while out of the house, and where she currently found herself now, was in Somi's cafe. It was always peaceful, and Somi was always great company and a great source of stories about a younger Yoongi. Y/N was currently sitting at a booth in the corner of the cafe, talking with Somi while she was on her break, though her form of a break was still doing work. "How's your leg Dear, any closer to getting your cast off?" She asked as they packaged a few frosted cookies into decorative bags.
"It's doing good, I get it off in two days, hopefully." Y/N crossed her finger. "So what are these cookies for?" She asked, having not asked Somi when she offered to help.
"There for the competition in a few days," Somi replied, softly as she tied another bag closed.
"What competition?"
"Did Yoongi not tell you?" Y/N shook my head, not recalling Yoongi ever mentioning anything about any competition. "That boy, what am I going to do with him?" She tsked, chastising the Alpha that currently wasn't in the room to defend himself. "Well, we hold this competition every year giving warriors the opportunity to move up ranks and for regular pack members or pack members just coming of age to become warriors. It's kind of turned into this giant festival for the pack, even a few members of our neighboring allied packs come by to enjoy it, and every year I set up a little cart to sell some of my treats."
"That sounds fun! When is it?"
"In less than a week, five days from now I believe, " She said, not sounding completely sure of herself. "Well it's a great thing you'll be out of your cast by then, you'll be able to really enjoy it."
"Yeah hopefully, and you can count on me to be one of your many customers." Y/N flashed her a bright smile as I finished tying off another bag.
"Oh, no need, Dear. There will be a lot of great booths and you've come here so much I'm sure you'll want to try something new," she said waving Y/N off.
"And there's a reason I've come by so much, you have amazing food, and you're so kind, who knows if the other store clerks will bring the same warm feeling you do."
"Aw, you're too sweet."
"Now, if I help you package the rest of these cookies, could I take some home?" Y/N asked, batting her eyes.
"I think that can be arranged,'' she chuckled. It didn't take the pair long to pack up the rest of the cookies and in the end, Somi let Y/N go home with one of the bags that she ended up putting a few extra cookies in, saying they were 'ruined'. When the omega finally made it home no one seemed to be around so she grabbed one of her books, and one of the thicker blankets she owned, taking it to the back porch. Y/N settled on the padded porch swing, curling her left leg under herself while her casted leg stuck out in front of her before wrapping the blanket around herself so only Y/N's head and arms stuck out. She began reading where she'd last left off, absentmindedly nibbling on one of the cookies as she did so, careful not to let any crumbs fall on her book. Y/N plowed through the rest of the book within the span of about two hours, setting it next to her with a sigh. Not wanting to head back inside yet, she leaned back on the bench, pushing the swing back and forth with her foot as I gazed out at the city below and the frosted scenery surrounding it. When the chilled temperature became too much to sit in anymore, Y/N headed inside. Still wanting to read, she dropped everything off in her room, grabbing a new book before turning to head back to the living room when she was met with a hard chest. The omega rubbed her nose lightly before staring up at Yoongi who was staring down at his mate, a small, adoring smile playing on his lips. They both backed up slightly so they didn't have to strain so hard to look at each other.
