By the end of the third and final day of the competition, the pack was abuzz with excitement as they prepared for the pack bonding ceremony. Dinner was a large but quick affair as the tables were taken away and families dispersed to shift the for ceremony. Yoongi was quick to lead Y/N to a secluded spot to shift, pulling out a bag for Y/N to put her clothes in.

"I have to go help finish the preparations for the ceremony, so once you're shifted, just head in that direction," Yoongi instructed, pointing East where Y/N could already see a myriad of wolves congregating. "I'll see you in a bit," Yoongi said, leaning down leaving a peck on Y/N's lips before turning around to leave. Before he could get far though, Y/N grabbed his sleeve, gently pulling on it to bring him back.

"This is really happening right?" It almost felt like a dream, the sensualness of being a part of a pack again. Y/N had felt floaty and light all day, she worried it really may be a dream. Yoongi gently smiled down at Y/N, grabbing the hand that had been holding his sleeve, giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"It's not a dream Y/N-ah. this is real. It's really happening, and you won't have to worry about being alone ever again." Y/N smiled, tears cresting her eyes.

"Thank you... Now go on. I need to change and they need your help," Y/N laughed, lightly pushing Yoongi in the direction of the ceremony. "I'll see you in a bit."

"See you soon." Y/N watch Yoongi walk away with gentle smile, giving one final look at the clearing she was in before stripping out of her clothes. Once transformed, Y/N wandered in the direction Yoongi had pointed her in. The further she walked the more wolves Y/N saw. She quickly blended into the fold following them somewhat blindly, hoping the crowd would spread out or clear up soon. Y/N's hopes were answered as the crowd dispersed as she came upon a waterfall with a pond below it. Along the shore of the pond were flat stones that acted as pedestals. On the pedestals were wolves that Y/N quickly recognized to be Jeongguk, Namjoon, Jimin, and Hoseok, spread out to leave two empty spaces in the middle. In Y/N admiring of the scenery she hadn't noticed Yoongi's approach till she felt him nudge her side. Yoongi let out a light huff as Y/N flinched out of her daydreaming before nudging her in the direction of the pedestals, hitting his paw against the ground in front of one of the stones before hopping up on one of the previously empty stone. Y/N stood herself in the spot Yoongi had indicated to looking around in anticipation for what to do.

In front of her there was another stone pedestal with a metal basin on top and a flattened-out boulder next to it, draped with a purple silk cloth. Surrounding the basin were different plants and herbs along with some old, lit candles, illuminating the small area. Soon an elder of the pack stepped up next to the basin in human form, holding an old, worn leather pouch. He set the pouch down on the boulder next to the pedestal, pulling out two wooden bowls, one filled with a substance Y/N couldn't see from her spot, the other bowl empty. Then the elder pulled out a cloth covered knife, raising it to the full moon with both hands before setting it down on the boulder. Once everything was in place the elder patted his hands against his robe and stepped around the pedestal to stand right in front of Y/N.

Turning to the pack the elder spoke in a soft voice that still commanded the crowd to quiet. "Can we have the representatives of the founding pack families please step up?" A group of wolves followed his commend, coming to stand around me. "Today we have someone joining this wonderful pack, your future Luna, Lee Y/N. And what an auspicious day indeed to welcome her. I feel the Moon Goddess smiling down upon this occasion. Now let's begin."

He turned his back to the pack, facing Y/N. Grabbing the empty bowl he walked around the pond to the waterfall where he dipped the bowl under the rushing water to fill it. Walking back to his place behind the pedestal, the elder set the bowl down before picking up the cloth covered dagger, unsheathing it. He held it up to the moonlight one more time, muttering a prayer under his breath. Walking around the pedestal again to stand directly in front of Y/N, he began speaking once more. "I am now going to take some hair from the Luna" He leaned down, swiftly cutting a small tuft of hair from behind Y/N's ear. The elder took the tuft of hair, placing it in the basin. Walking over to Seokjin, the first in line of the founding pack representatives, he had Seokjin hold out his paw, gently holding his leg up with his free hand before making a small cut in the paw, just big enough to draw blood. He walked back over to the pedestal, tapping the blade until a couple drops of the blood collected on it fell into the basin. Wiping the knife off on the silk cloth, the elder repeated this process with all the founding pack representatives till he was standing in front of Y/N. Y/N took a deep breath before holding her paw out, a feeling of exhilaration rushing over her, feeling so close to finally belonging somewhere. With a friendly smile, the pack elder pierced Y/N's paw, quickly retracting when he got what he needed. Y/N continued to watch the elder, enthralled with the process of the ritual, the rest of the world falling away from around her. Grabbing the two bowls, the elder came back and stood in front of Y/N. Holding the bowl filled with water above Y/N's head the elder slowly began pouring the water on Y/N's forehead. Y/N softly closed her eyes, shivering as the cold water trickled down her muzzle, onto the ground below. Once the bowl was empty, Y/N opened her eyes to see the elder bring the other bowl up. The bowl was filled with rich soil, and the elder quickly took a small handful of it, tossing it in Y/N's face. She quickly closed her eyes, sneezing as the dirt made contact with her face. Out of habit she wanted to immediately shake it off, but refrained, trying to stay as still as possible. She waited a few seconds, waiting to see if anything else would happen. When nothing else was thrown at her, Y/N slowly opened her eyes again to see the elder walking over to the basin, dipping his index and middle fingers in. Walking back over he traced the symbol of the Blood Moon pack onto Y/N's forehead. "May the Moon Goddess grant you entry to our pack." When he finished drawing the symbol the elder pressed his thumb into Y/N's forehead with a force she wasn't expecting and her eyes shot open wide. All at once it was like she had this connection to the territory, and the land itself, and a rush of voices filtered into her mind. The pack link.
