Trigger Warning: Mentions of rape and abuse

*Tell him Y/N. He loves us and our past won't change that,* Her wolf urged on, trying to boost her confidence.

"Yoongi?" Y/N rasped out, looking up at the Alpha with a teary gaze. Yoongi, whose gaze was already set on her, silently urged her to go on, his eyes full of worry. "That nightmare was real..." Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows, bringing one of his hands to clasps one of Y/N's that still had a death grip on his shirt, helping to stop its shaking. "Both times I've had this dream here they've been the same and I'm so frightened by it when I wake up because it was something I had gone through." Y/N sat up again, pulling Yoongi with her. They both shifted so they were fully facing each other, her knees resting on his. "I have a lot to tell you." Yoongi could only assume what she was insinuating, but it was late, and she seemed tired out of her mind. He also wasn't sure he was ready for what she was going to say.

"You can wait till tomorrow if you want, you're probably tired." Yoongi went to lead her back down and under the covers, but Y/N quickly stopped him.

"No! I need to tell you now!" Y/N stated, her voice dripping with determination. Yoongi was slightly taken aback by Y/N's slight outburst, but he just followed her lead.

"God, where do I start?" She chuckled nervously, scratching the back of her head before brushing the hair out of her face. "Just please, try not to say anything until I'm done," she begged. Yoongi grabbed both her hands, giving them a light squeeze to let her know he would let her say whatever she needed to without interrupting. Y/N took a deep breath, trying to gather her thoughts before diving into her explanation.

"So, as you know I never came across things easily in rogue territory and I've had my fair share of fights with other rogues. Well after I had presented things became harder. With me having a prominent scent now, plus I was older, so I was easier to spot even though I was still small in comparison to all the adults out there. I don't know what it was, but something seemed to change out there around that time, food became more scarce, and rogues became more hostile, or at least I ran into a lot more hostile rogues. The first couple of years were particularly hard on me, especially mentally. Learning at such a young age to look after myself, ration food, defend myself, find alternative ways of survival, it was a lot to take. I kind of just drifted through the day, doing the bare minimum to survive, but even doing the bare minimum was hard. I didn't see an end in sight, and I didn't want to imagine that this was going to be my life until I was either killed or I went feral myself. There had been times where I had considered ending it, but then I'd remember how my mom told me to just stick it out. One day I had been washing off under a waterfall I had found when I got lightheaded. I'm not entirely sure what the cause was, but it was most likely a mixture of being out in the heat and malnutrition. Trying to get my bearings while still rushing to finish washing as fast as I could, I slipped off the rock and into the lake. I must've hit my head when I fell because when I opened my eyes, there was blood in the water, and I was in pain."

Grabbing one of Yoongi's hands, she brought it up to the back of her head, gently dragging it along her scalp till Yoongi felt what she was trying to show him. On the back of her head, he felt a small scar that was about two inches long. Yoongi continued to run his fingers along and around the scar, gazing at his mate with a deep sadness, hating what she had gone through. "The water was freezing, and I got pushed under the current of the waterfall. It was so hard to move but I didn't fight it, I had already given up long ago. You have no idea what it was like living out there. It was so hard," she cried out.

"As soon as I was about to pass out though, I was pulled out of the water, but I passed out before I could see my savior. When I fully came to, I was in a cave, lying next to this Beta woman. Her name was Eun-Ae, she had become a rogue after she rejected her mate when she found out he had been cheating on her, and because he was the Head Alpha of a different pack, she was no longer welcome, and she couldn't return to her old pack, so she had to live out there. She had seen me fall in and when I hadn't come out for a while, she dove in to save me. I had gotten pretty banged up on the rocks when falling in, but my head was the worst. She did her best to clean and close the wounds but with a lack of medical supplies, it was rather hard since I needed much better medical care than I could get out there. I lost a lot of blood and I had gained an infection from the cuts, so I was down with a fever." Yoongi grimaced, closing his eyes. He couldn't help the images that popped into his head.
