Earlier in the day when Leon had stormed out of Jackie’s apartment, he promised to be back later after his angry child hopefully cooled off, he forgot how similar she was to Kimi when she was mad. He was in his apartment, having sold the house in Kensington after receiving the note from his daughter. Liam found me yesterday. I’m leaving to travel the world or whatever. I don’t know where I’m going yet but I caught a ride with this Doctor. - Ella (I destroyed my phone so don’t bother calling I guess)

It was scrawled on a piece of paper that must have been taken from one of her school notebooks as there were notes from class, doodles and random bits of poetry on the other side. One passage was particularly troubling to the man, I knew where her voice would lead me. I didn’t care. It’s been so long since I felt her warmth. I would happily follow her into the dark. Reading those words in his daughters’ hand, made him want to look through the rest of her stuff for any other concerning poetry bits. He ultimately decided not to invade her privacy as it would only further the divide between them.

Leon wasn’t very prepared for what he found in the apartment he was seeking; Jackie was screaming in the kitchen and there was a giant green creature trying to kill her. It was rather dramatic, especially since Leon grabbed hold of a chair to whack the creature as hard as he could on the back of the head, distracting the creature long enough to get Jackie out.

“Jackie! Come on,” the terrified woman held onto his hand for dear life as they ran out of the apartment.

“Leon, that thing was a cop.” Jackie shuddered in fear.

“We have to go somewhere they wouldn’t expect to find us,” Leon knew from having minor experience with having to stay hidden from people.

“Who do we trust?” Mickey rambled later as he boiled water to make tea for his distraught guests. Going somewhere the green monsters wouldn’t expect to find them turned out to be going to Mickey Smith’s apartment, the conspiracy theorist who kept calling Leon to warn him about the Doctor. “For all we know, they've all got big bog monsters inside of them. I mean, this is what he does, that Doctor bloke. Everywhere he goes, death and destruction, and he's got Rose and Ella right in the middle of it.” Has he also got a big green thing inside of him, Jackie looked up at Mickey like he had an answer. “I wouldn’t put it past him, but like it or not. He’s the only one who could fight these things.”

Jackie had started to cry upon the realization that she really could have died, Leon awkwardly approached the woman and gave her what he hoped was a comforting hug.

“Rose give me your phone.” The Doctor commanded and Rose gave him her phone and he quickly took the back of it off before installing the microchip that allowed for universal roaming. He dialed a number that was in Rose’s saved contacts “Is that Ricky? Don’t talk, just shut up and go to your computer.”

“It’s Mickey and why should I?” Ella let out a small laugh when she noticed that the Doctor just sometimes flat out refused to get people’s names right.

“Mickey the Idiot, I might just choke before I finish this sentence, but … uh … I need you.” The Doctor explained to Mickey what it was that he needed to do to hack into U.N.I.T. while Indra poured everyone a drink.
