After dropping off Ella, Rose and Jack at the exclusive asteroid club Stardust with the promise he would be back in an hour the Doctor followed the space time coordinates provided on his psychic paper. The name that was signed had given him pause and he wasn't sure what it meant but he couldn't just go in blindly, he had to be slow and methodical. When the Doctor arrived, the year almost made him choke, he slinked out of the Tardis and right away the air tasted unnatural. There was a definite buildup of energy, and he couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from, but he could sense that the planet was audibly pulsing. Forgetting about the message, the Doctor pulled out his sonic screwdriver and began to investigate, the hidden figure in the alley way watched with rapt attention.
After a couple of weeks of looking into the energy readings he was getting he concluded that the energy was pulsating from the many pyramidal shapes across the world. It seems the ancients were visited by some unknown intelligence that had instructed them how to build some kind of machine, the Doctor poured over ancient artifacts. When he discovered what kind of machine it was his blood ran colder than normal, it was updated but there was no mistaking that he's seen this machine before, on Pollyanna 5. This was a larger newer light stealing machine, that shadow built the first one and the Doctor didn't doubt that she had built this new one. So, Taludav is somewhere on Earth ... in 1993 ... the same year Ella's mom died ... great.
"So, you found it?" the Doctor heard from behind him, and he wouldn't admit to anyone that the sudden accented voice had startled him but not as much as when he turned around and came face to face with the owner of the voice.
"Ella?!" He sputtered and almost fell out of his chair despite having known the message was from her. He turned and saw the woman he loved exactly as he remembered her; he couldn't be sure how she was here in this time period.
"So, a thing happened," she explained lamely.

Ella would admit right away that she was a little skeptical about what the Doctor was getting up to but the temptation of the shots that Rose was ordering was too much. So, she decided to turn her brain off for a bit to enjoy this night with her friends and hopefully her man will be back in an hour like he promised. Once the girls were a few shots deep they opted to try out the pool tables in the corner of the club. Jack followed and called winner, so he was going to play against whoever won this first round, which ended up being Rose because Ella hates angles with her entire being. Ella wandered off and got another round of shots for her people and she smiled smugly at the disgusted faces everyone pulled, "ew what is that?!"
"I have no idea," Ella answered Jack as the three of them roughly set down their shot glasses, "it was a mystery shot ... kinda tasted like drunk melted ice cream but like crazy." Once Rose and Jack were played out on pool Ella dragged them to the dart boards, she may hate angles, but her aim wasn't too bad. "Hey, Rose you wanna make a bet?"
"No way! I still haven't recovered from the last one," Rose screeched. The last bet the two had made was if Rose could shotgun a beer and if she lost, she had to do a keg stand. She lost and the hardest part of that particular bet was the lack of kegs in space so they had to wait a while before Rose could fulfill her end of the bet.
"Aw c'mon. It'll be your bet, and you could choose whatever for me to do if I lose," Rose thought about it for a second as Jack left to wander back over to the bar.
"Why do wanna make a bet anyways?"
Ella shrugged as she lined up her shot, "I'm bored, and the Doctor left and there's no one to bother."
"You could bother me," Jack interjected with a smirk as he came back to the girls with more drinks in his hand.
"I could ... so what do you say to a dance when I win Rose's bet?"
