Ella eventually woke up from her forced nap and to say that she was confused was an understatement, “did you make a linen closet just for me?” ‘Linen’ and ‘closet’ probably weren’t the right words she was looking for, but they sounded more elegant then ‘humongous room full of every soft object in the galaxy’. The brunette tentatively stood up and wobbled on the fluffy floor, after fighting with various bedspreads she found the door. Once she made it to sturdy ground, she wanted to kiss it because she really was rather clumsy, and a clumsy person and uneven surfaces didn’t mix well. “I assume you led me here for safety so thanks for that,” Ella whispered to the Tardis as she once again made her way to the control room.
As she was dodging clutter, she started to notice the side of her that hit the door to the room she woke up in actually hurt quite a bit. Hesitantly she applied pressure to her ribs and flinched at the pain that shot through her body, “okay that’s not broken.” She knew what broken ribs felt like and that wasn’t it, maybe just a fracture or two. Finally, she made it to the control room and the sight that greeted her was not welcome. Where the doors should have been, there was a blank wall, offering no exit.
The brunette ran up to the space where the doors were and there was … nothing. Suddenly Ella was 15 again and Liam had locked her in a small closet because she didn’t greet him with his favorite smile. The air was still and stifling, and she couldn’t breathe, the room was getting smaller and smaller, she sank to the floor and tried to get air into her lungs, but she couldn’t remember how. The infinite ship now felt like it was the smallest tiniest thing in the universe, and she needed to get out. The Tardis must have felt or seen her thoughts because Ella felt a warm wave wash over her, the same feeling that she always experiences when she enters the doors, I’m home.
Ella stood up and took wobbly steps to the console as the Tardis whirred in a rhythm that sounded like breathing so Ella breathed with her and the ship felt infinite and forever again after a few minutes. The brunette gave a soft smile when she felt like herself again and not who she was five years ago. “thanks, love. Now can you show me what happened?” Ella got a flash of images as an answer, “So, Rose met her dad and accidentally saved his life and we’ve been thrown through the wound into what … nothingness?!”
The answer she got back wasn’t reassuring apparently, they were dormant in the time vortex because the ship can’t materialize without the exterior of the ship. The Tardis showed her what was happening with the Doctor and Rose, “what can we do? If time gets fixed, then Rose will lose her father again. I can’t do that.” Ella felt her heart break at the sound the Tardis let out, “I know I wanna get back to him too, but I can’t be a part of that.”

Rose was so confused with today, on one hand her dad was alive, and she was able to meet him, on the other her best friend was lost somewhere. She was so unbelievably happy, but she was also extremely upset, “So, how did you get here anyway?” The blonde looked up and noticed her dad had said something.
“I’m sorry, what?”
“You and that mate of yours don’t pay much attention, do ya?” He said with a small smile that she hoped meant he wasn’t that mad about her being distracted.
“Sorry, today has been … a lot.”
He softly laughed at her description,” I asked how you got here, if you’re from the future.”
