Ella had asked the Doctor to stop at her house so she could pack some clothes and leave a note for her father in case he noticed her absence one day.
She dashed through her room and hastily threw things into a huge rolling suitcase, making sure to include her passport.
Just in case.
When she was done, she grabbed her purse which had her wallet in it and basically the rest of her life. Ella nodded at the Doctor and he wordlessly stepped forward and grabbed her bags to haul them into the spaceship.
"That was fast packing," the Doctor commented as Ella searched through her desk for a clean piece of paper.
"Well, I have some experience with running away. As do you, I suspect," Ella huffed as she ripped the cleanest piece of paper she could find in her notebook, which had random doodles scattered throughout.
"Have your walls always been that color?" Ella looked up from the brief note she wrote, mildly surprised at the change in subject.
"They were white when we moved in," Ella was unbothered that the regal blue of her walls was the same shade as the exterior of the Tardis.
Ella briskly walked out of her room and ran up the flight of stairs to tape the note to Leon's door along with the money she owed him for the bottle of whiskey she took.
Before she walked back into the Tardis, Ella grabbed a folder and threw whatever was occupying it in the trash. She filled the now empty folder with the pictures on her walls, only the important ones.
An old picture of Ella's mom holding her when she was a baby, the other was when her mom was still in high school. A few consisted of Ella and the three friends she managed to make.
After a few seconds of hesitation, she also decided to take an old photo of her dad that was hidden in her desk.
When she finally stepped into the Tardis the Doctor asked, "ready?"
"As I'll ever be ... where are we going first, Doc?"
"Once we get into deep space, I'm taking you to the Med Bay." Ella scrunched her eyebrows, not liking the idea of going to the Med Bay.
"Why? Are you an actual doctor?!" Ella let out a loud and hearty laugh, hoping it sounded convincing
Crossing his arms in mild annoyance, the Doctor asked defensively, "what's so funny?"
"Nothing. Nothing, I'm fine." Ella tried to calm down. "It wasn't that funny," she assured, even though she instantly thought about how in the last two days of knowing him he just didn't seem like a medical doctor.
When they were in deep space the Doctor led her through winding halls and Ella was floored by how much bigger on the inside the Tardis was.
"Jeez, how big is this place?!"
"It's kind of infinite," he answered as he unlocked a door with his one key and entered the dark room, flipping a light switch.
"How is that possible? Are we, like, in another dimension?!" Ella blinked rapidly, having been blinded because of how bright the room was.
"No," the Doctor scoffed, which led Ella to think that her guess was correct. He pointed to an exam table in the center of the room and she hesitantly sat down.
Feeling the nerves creep up on her, Ella asked, "why are we here, Stranger?"
"I need to heal your face." He said simply, turning to face her with his sonic screwdriver, quickly healing the cut under her eye.
