Ella's eyes focused on the scene playing out in front of her, a child was playing and laughing in the distance. She was joined by her parents, both of whom she instantly recognized, "mom." Ella's voice cracked with the swell of emotions rising in her chest, she worked out that she was witnessing memories of a time before everything went wrong. The woman who gave her life lifted the child into the air and for the first time in years Ella heard the sound she longed to hear again; her mom's laugh. It was such a simple wish but so unobtainable, just barely out of reach.

The scene changed then and before the Ella watching in could protest, she recognized where she was. She would always know this place, the long stretch of road where she and her mom crashed. Just as she had the thought an expensive looking car appeared on the road, it was raining, and Kimi's driving had scared little Ella. The two were on their way to pick up Leon from work because much like the adult version of his daughter he also had an aversion to driving. Another car appeared on the opposite side of the road, fast approaching as it drew closer and closer Kimi's singing along to the radio got louder and louder. And right when the car was supposed to be hit by the other car, it simply drove past .... "what?!" Ella watching in exclaimed.

Once the car that was supposed to kill her mom just drove past, a complete opposite from what she remembered, all these new memories came flooding into her head. Suddenly Ella had a mom again, there was a whole new life, pieces were falling into a puzzle that didn't exist before. A different life than the other one she could recall, that other life was starting to get fuzzy, there wasn't enough room for both lives. Her head hurt, it felt like someone reached in and poured acid on her brain. A scream left her mouth as her old life was ejected out of her memory and the new one implanted.

The Doctor heard the scream echoing through the cell walls, he started formulating a plan. When he almost had a plan on how to get out, a door slammed open behind him and he strained his neck to look back at who entered. "Doctor! I found you. We need to save Ella; I have no idea what they did to her, but she was screaming." Rose quickly rushed out as she kneeled in front of him and used the sonic screwdriver to undo the chains.

"I know, how did you get out?" The Doctor stood up from the chair, grabbed the sonic and studied it for a few seconds. Endless timeline possibilities filtering through his brains before handing it back to the blonde. Having decided on a course that had the most chance of success. "You might need it," He shrugged; Rose put the noisy tube back in her pocket.

"Whoever's doing this didn't care enough about us. Now, come on." Rose grabbed the Doctor's hand and led him to the room where she woke up in. "Look there's cameras everywhere, even in Ella's cell." The Doctor quickly studied the screens and glanced over the room, noticing the ropes in the center that were cleanly cut. He assumed that Rose or Adam had a knife on their person, he didn't have time to scold them for carrying weapons before a voice was speaking behind them.

"Doctor, I was wondering when you were going to break out of there. Shame it took you so long and I even gave you help." The Doctor's mind was turning with the information he just collected, first was identifying the one that captured them.

"You know me?" the woman tsked in response to his question, that tone was familiar.

"Oh ... catch up, Doctor. The girlfriend guessed it right away." Those words helped him in building a theory about who this was, but he couldn't remember a name, it was a busy day. But now that he thought about it, it should have been obvious. It was to Ella; he thought with a groan, she was about to mention it when the twin suns started rising but they got distracted with being blown up.
