i never asked for your pity
i got it freeone of the side effects of
unrequited
love.i didn't ask for
your mumbled
"sorry"sor whispered
"we'll be okay"si got them for free, too.
like a buy none, get 3 free, i
guess.i guess that's not quite true;
i paid in
tearsand sighs.
dreams i left behind
broken bottles on a
dirty floorand
half-smoked cigarettes
still burning softlywishing for another spark.
the only thing i did ask for
had too high a price to pay.
