chapter 16

"you're really leaving huh" hyunjin had his arms around jeongin's waist, he had an evident pout on his face making the younger giggle.

"i'm gonna miss you a lot jinnie, but you'll get to visit me anytime!"

"well, yeah. but still!" hyunjin pulled jeongin into a tight suffocating hug. jeongin then pulled away to catch a breath, hyunjin just whispered a 'sorry' which the other chuckled at.

jeongin turned to see his aunt and uncle, his aunt being on the verge of tears while his uncle was comforting her, trying not to laugh at his wife. he went to go approach them.

"aunt, please don't be sad. i'll be back in no time!!! i promise to call you guys when i can!" he raised his left hand up as a promise.

"that's what i've been telling your aunt, but she won't stop being sad" his uncle states. jeongin approached his aunt and took her hand.

"auntie, i'll be back okay? you're not going to loose me. when i'm back, i'll still be your child, nothing will change" he swore. this made his aunt feel a lot better. he gave her the assurance she needed.

he gave everyone their goodbye hugs and waved to them, but as he was about to go inside...

"where's my hug?"

jeongin turned back to see jisung with open arms and minho behind him. he ran up to his bestfriend and hugged him, before turning to minho, hugging him as well.

"thanks for protecting me all those years guys, i'll miss you" jeongin said with a sad smile.

"we'll miss you too bubby" minho said, jisung nodded.

and with that, he finally started moving, not forgetting to look back once more before he leftfor good. when he turned away, he felt a tear prickle down his cheek which he quickly wiped. he had said goodbye to everyone who came to the airport, all except chan, who watched from afar as he hugged everyone goodbye, wishing he got one too.

before jeongin got on the plain, he heard his notifications ring. someone had texted him? who could it be?
