chapter 20

a whole month later...

jeongin walked down the aisle, holding his father by the arm as they walked down together. to chan, he was the most beautiful groom ever. he had a huge smile on his face and he looked incredibly happy.

chan got teary eyed as they exchanged glances. the couple walked up to the podium, held hands while looking into each other's eyes. they definitely looked so in love. it made everyone there emotional.

the ceremony went in order as usual, then it was time for the wedding vows.

"i promise to love you, take care of you, be there for you, for as long as i live. from the moment i met you, i knew that i loved you. i knew that i wanted to be with you for a lifetime. and now here we are. words can never describe how much i love you yang jeongin."

everyone cheered and clapped for the couple. jeongin was teary eyed as the latter slipped the ring on his finger. he was handed the mic and it was now his turn to say his vows.

"i remember when i was in a state of mind where i no longer wanted to live. but then you came. you came as a savior, my angel, my bestfriend. i promise to forever be there for you too. through thick and thin times, it's you and me against the world...
hwang hyunjin"

jeongin slipped the ring on the elder's finger. they both tried their best not to cry all the makeup away. then it was time for the pronouncement. the thing everyone has been waiting for.

"yang jeongin and hwang hyunjin, i know pronounce you, husband and husband. you may now kiss" and with cthat, the couple leaned in, connecting their lips and soul. they immediately cried into the kiss. everyone was cheering and clapping, people got emotional.

when they pulled out, jeongins eyes browsed through the people in the audience, stopped when he saw chan. his eyes were red from trying to hold back tears. jeongin mouthed a 'thank you' and then smiled. chan nodded and smiled back.

jeongin looked back at his now, husband and gave him another quick peck on the lips. they both giggled as they wiped their tears. the newly wed were incredibly happy. everyone, including chan knew that.

looking back, chan knew that he couldn't hold onto jeongin anymore as he was happy now, with someone who was truly meant to be with him. as for him, he had to move on. he needed to heal. he took one more glance at his 'world', before turning away, only to never look back again.
