Ridhi's POV
It has been 3 months since Abhi and I were talking in order to get to know each other. He seems to be nice and fun to be with. He is a typical ambivert because he acts according to his mood swings. I must agree he is the most straightforward person I have ever met. On the first day when I spoke to him, he clearly mentioned that he is interested in marrying me. Although at first, I was hesitant, with my sister's and his persistence I am giving it a try. He doesn't push or forces me into any decisions. I have also clearly mentioned that I wanted to achieve my dream first.
Our time is very limited as both of us are busy with our respective jobs. He understands my job's requirements, so he doesn't complain even if had to run for my duty in the middle of a date or conversation. The best part is he always tries his best to allocate his time to be with me. He is indeed good at time management. However, we haven't introduced each other to our parents. Mainly it was because of me. I am not ready yet. We had a disagreement over this topic, but after some time we made up as he gives in most of the time.
Abhi met Nidhi a couple of weeks ago when we were holidaying in Goa. She came there for a seminar and she saw us. I couldn't avoid the meeting though I wanted to. He was really eager to meet my twin sister and I must say they got connected pretty well. She even calls him jiju and he calls her buddy. I initially felt rather jealous because he said she is a beauty with a brain. I don't know what made him say that she is pretty. I mean no one... no one ever said that she is pretty. I am not looking down on my sister, but I know she is the smart-ass type of nerdy. That's why now she is doing PhD in a fast-track mode. But her being pretty is something which is unacceptable. Have you ever seen her clothing style?? Like a true desi or we say as behenji... last I saw her wearing modern attire during her junior year. She prefers wearing salwar and tops and saree. Even her blouses are rather baggy... which she called modesty, but it's total behenji type.
I remember the other day when we met her after her seminar. She was wearing a black churidhaar (legging like trousers) suit with so-called minimal make-up with jhumkas.
He was literally gawking at her and she is she, as usual, showed her nonchalant behaviour. What made me shocked to the core was, she even asked him 'hey stranger, have you completely healed from your injuries? How are you now?' and the only answer he gave was 'commoner???' but it was more to ask himself. He straightaway woke up from his place and gave her a side hug saying, 'I owe you a lot. You saved me.' And suddenly both of them started to laugh like maniacs looking at my clueless face. Then Nidhi said 'Di do you remember a few months ago I came to visit you in Allahabad and told you that I helped an accident patient... he is the one..' 'ohw! The one you came with all blood bathed and even donated your blood.' 'precisely di... he's the one... but please don't exaggerate about blood bath all... just that my shirt stained a little..' 'yeah right... I know how little it was stained.'
And our conversation prolonged and we spoke about anything and everything. I didn't know that my boring sister could engage people in exciting conversations. Suddenly, I felt so left out because they were talking about law and justice. Realising my boredom, Nidhi again engaged me in some random conversations. After a three-hour hang out with my sister and Abhi we parted our ways back to our rooms. I felt really relieved but disturbed because for the first time I saw Abhi in his real carefree type and Nidhi's chirpy side. My mind was asking me that is it was my ignorance I didn't see the real them or they were indeed getting comfortable around each other? However, I brushed off that thought before going into a deep slumber.
