'Stop it, Abhimanyu... Just stop it! What is your problem? Tell me that!' 'I have already mentioned my problem, but you are deviating it.' 'Abhimanyu...' she warned him. 'Warm my bed tonight and you can go away tomorrow.' Another slap landed on his cheek and lost his calm completely. Without thinking twice, he pushed her on his bed forced himself on her. Not once but multiple times till she passed out of exhaustion. The next morning, when she woke up she saw her husband was sleeping like a log. Last night's incident made her understood one thing that Abhimanyu didn't trust her and he was also frustrated because of not getting a donor. While showering, she concluded that so would do her best to get a donor. But when she came out from her shower, she was haltered with Abhimanyu's sarcastic voice. 'How was last night? Had fun? Where is your stamina as I knew you could do better than last night or have you used it somewhere else before coming to me?' His words were laced with venom.
She sobbed loudly and the next words stopped her heart for a moment. 'Now... now... you and I both had fun... so get out of my life now and never show your filthy face to me.' She felt so dirty and her self respect ushered her to abandon him as he said, but she wanted to show him that he was baseless and will definitely make him regret his mistake. So she decided to stay out of his life for some time until she learns the truth. Not saying anything further, she put on her clothes and walked out of the house. She called and informed Radhika that she wouldn't be visiting them because she has some important work to take care of. Little did they know that would be the last encounter Abhimanyu and his sister had with her. She disappeared after that.
That evening, she didn't meet her friend as promised saying that she has some issues to be sorted out. Asfandyaar was persistently asking about it which Nidhi shrugged as too personal to be shared. She also said that her husband was not well and would definitely meet him once things had cooled off. Even though he was against her statement to be literally left alone, he chose to give her space till she was ready to face her so-called issues. He understood that she was no more the childish Nidhi, she was now the wife of someone and her responsibilities had increased along with the phase. Convincing himself so, he went back to Pune to resume his duty as an army officer.
Nidhi, on the other hand, was busy finding a donor for him. Albeit she knew the reason for Abhimanyu's wrath, she understood that didn't justify what he did to her. He should have clarified and spoken about it to her instead of lashing her. She knew the truth through his best friend, Karan. He mentioned all but not the part that Abhimanyu knew she was Nidhi, as Abhimanyu said that is his place to mention. Whatever blunder they were facing in their relationship didn't stop her from finding a donor for her husband.
Somewhere in a corner in her heart, she understood he was going paranoid because of his visual impairment. For the first three weeks, she was constantly keeping up with her positive mindset that Abhimanyu will get a donor, however, when the subsequent weeks passed, her positivity dropped and she started to lose hope. Then, something stroke her hard; this is how Abhimanyu would have felt. She had been trying only for 9 weeks, but Abhimanyu dealt with it for a year or more. Still not agreeing on the way he lost his shit on her, she still saw and understood his fears and pain. Losing hope on the tenth week, she went for an eye screening. Meanwhile, she had been updated about Abhimanyu and when she was asked, she still said it is an important issue and once it is resolved, she will come back.
Abhimanyu was still angry but not on Nidhi, it was more on himself. He knew his wife was avoiding him because of what he did, but he still believed Nidhi was at fault. He was again living in misery. He always heard about her through his sister and he knew she is somewhere out there all fine and good. One day, he got a call from Dehli hospital saying he had got a donor and if he was physically ready and fit they could schedule surgery. Abhimanyu's happiness knew no bounds. Everyone was elated and Abhimanyu was on cloud nine. He wanted to share it with Nidhi but refrained from talking to her.
When they were departing to Delhi, they met Asfandyaar. His sister immediately recognised him as Nidhi's best friend. After changing pleasantries, he requested to speak to Abhimanyu in person. Though he didn't like the idea, he still agreed to speak to him. Both men immediately recognised each other's voice and Asfandyaar immediately cleared his unsaid doubts. He told Abhimanyu that Nidhi and he are more like siblings and he had always been protective towards her. When the caller sounded rude the other day, he thought it was some stalker who disturbing his bestie, so he simply shut that person proclaiming himself as her boyfriend. All the while, Abhimanyu was clenching his knuckles.
Furthermore, Asfandyaar said, Nidhi was planning to introduce Abhimanyu to him and his wife, but the next day she called and cancelled, also told him will introduce Abhimanyu once things are cooled off. He apologised for the misunderstanding and advised Abhimanyu to sort out the differences. All the while listening to Asfandyaar, Abhimanyu's whole world swirled. He hurt Nidhi in the process of letting his insecurities win. He understood he had broken her irrevocably. He could still hear her pleas and sobs. He behaved like an animal. He had killed her soul with his actions and harsh words. He was drowning in guilt. But he was determined that he would make everything right. He would earn her apology. He would accept any punishment other than being separated from her. He had never intended to let her go and never will. He knew he was selfish but it didn't matter. He will amend their relationship at any cost.
