Like a series of raging waves in the seas Our life undergo a lot of difficulties Pushing us sometimes to be weakened Assuming that we're completely forsaken.
Similar to the process of refining gold Heat is applied to distinguish real from fraud Likewise, our life is tested by the Almighty To cleanse our hearts from all forms of impurity.
As we bump into a river of troubles Sailing in the ocean of frustrations and failures We quickly conclude that God isn't paying attention By rejecting our ardent prayers and supplication.
Like parents who strike rod to their children How much more the Father who looks us from heaven? He is punishing us, so we will be better Showing love for us through discipline— a vast care.
Obedience is better than burnt offerings and sacrifice For God is pleased if we're just faithful and wise By following solely His will and be persevering Taking up our own cross with a passion that's burning.
We should allow the Potter to mold us constantly As we are the clay, God is shaping us perfectly Don't be dismayed with the pressure it delivers Trust His plans, He only wants us to be stronger.
