Giving is a sign of caring
To a person who is struggling
Lending hand to the less fortunate
For their hardship to be alleviated.

Giving without any intention
Is what catches God's attention
As He's pleased with the ones who give cheerfully
Yet angered to those who just did with hypocrisy.

Showing generosity is like open palms
The more you open, the more blessings will come
Meanwhile, as you closed your hands for your own
Good things are bounded and can be quickly blown.

Richness is not the basis to do charity
As we can extend simple help to the needy
For as long as we find true joy in giving
By means of spirit, emotion and material things.

The act of giving is the art of losing ourselves
By being selfless, thinking the welfare of others
Giving 'til it hurts is a great accomplishment
Laying our own comfort for others' betterment.

Loving our neighbors should not only be in words
But of sharing to our brethren all over the world
As the Father first demonstrates to us the essence of giving
By sending His own son Jesus Christ to save the dead and living.

"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." - 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (NIV)
