IDOLATRY

It is not the deed of the body
But a human heart's activity
That begins with extreme wanting or craving
To anyone you admire or to something.
Fame, work or money can be a form of idol
That we treasured more than God, making us fools
Like keeping the stone while discarding the diamond
Blinded by the appearance and the pleasure it owns.
Sometimes, a certain person can make us deceive
Who can take away our time and cause us to believe 
A celebrity, band or family member
Whom we honored so much that's ought for the Father.
"Do not worship any idols," the Lord declares.
For His wrath is coming to the idolaters
He is our God who is righteously jealous 
He aches for our good, His love is enormous.
Love God above anything else —
It's the first commandment and also the greatest 
We should love Him with all our heart, mind and soul
Let's focus our eyes on Him and turn away from idols.
