BREAKING THE NORM

Are you wondering of the world today?
As it becomes strange in a particular way
When the wrong acts are considered as noble
While the good ones are looked as abominable.

Living in together of couples that are minor
Many are adopting to it, seems not odd anymore
Perceiving that the union is only an experiment
If it fails, it'll be like trash thrown into the pit.

Pornography has been overran nowadays
Executed by men who are pleasure-seekers
As they highly regarded it as normal
Declining the fact that it's purely carnal.

Disrespecting the parents has also been practiced
By some children, at times when they are pissed
Throwing foul words to the other family members
Seeing it as a trend— repeatedly done by others.

Showing good manners has also been depreciated
Not saying "sorry" to whom someone was hitted
A simple "please" and "thank you" have also been forgotten
Supposing that they are higher than the other person.

It's sad to know that in this new generation
Right conduct is deemed to be an old-fashioned
Several youth have been ignoring modesty
Refusing to uphold the virtue of purity.

Doing what's pleasing to God is important
And not just to follow on this world's standard
Do not be afraid of breaking the norm
As right will always be dif'rent from wrong.
