Chapter 4: What now?

You and Bucky have been staying at the hotel for a week now and have had the front desk bring you food but you use your mind control to make them forget they ever came to your room so you and Bucky can keep a low profile. You and Bucky still take precaution because you know that hydra is still looking for you guys. "Hey Buck how long are we going to stay here for?" You ask Bucky since you know you can stay here forever "Well, for as long as we can until we have to leave again." You look down kind of sad "I don't want to be running my whole life bucky." He looks at you sadly but tries to cheer you up "We don't have to run forever doll, maybe one day we will both be able to destroy hydra do they never take or hurt anyone ever again. So no one has to go through what we went through." He tells you trying to make you feel better "So what do you want to do today, want to go and explore and look through store windows?" You look at him with a smile "Yeah sure, why not. Maybe we can find some clothes since we've had the same clothes for weeks now." He agreed with you and you both leave to go explore. "Hey buck, look at all the bread they have." You say amazed "Yeah, it looks really good." You both feel like children by being amazed at everything you guys see, though it has been a while since you've been outside or even got to act normal. You both walk by a clothes shop and see all the nice dresses and suits and clothes. "Wow buck, look at all those clothes, they are so nice." He leans against the window "Yeah, you'd look really pretty in that blue dress." He says looking at you. You smile and look back through the window "You know, you wouldn't look to bad in the nice suit." You point at a nice royal blue suit and he agrees with you. The manager of the store sees you both looking and pointing into the store and goes out to you guys. "Hello, would you like to come in and pick some things out?" You both look at each other. "Um no we were just looking, thank you though." Bucky told the man and you both left to continue exploring. When you guys are about to head back to the hotel you see something in the sky "Hey Bucky, what's that?" You point to the sky "I'm not sure, maybe it's gonna rain?" He looks up just as confused as you are. But the black ball in the sky seems to get bigger and bigger until it starts opening "Bucky, what the hell is happening!?" He grabs your hand and starts running "I don't know, come on we have to leave!" You both start running but you look back to see huge machines coming out from the portal "Look, there stuff coming out of it!" He looks back to see what your talking about. There are machines and robots coming from the portal "Come on, we have yo get out of here!" You both start running when you see The Avengers show up. They stop right in front of you and Bucky. You both start backing up slowly and a man in a metal suit comes up to you and Bucky "All civilians need to move out of the way." When another man stops him and looks at you both "Bucky? Y/n? Is it really you guys?" You and Bucky look at each other and simotaneously say "Who the hell are you?" An explosion goes of in the background, you and and Bucky both run off to get to safety. After running for a while you look back and see the group you tan into were fighting those alien things. "We should help them bucky." You look at Bucky worried "No, we have to leave this place." You look down and then back up, your mind is racing "But Bucky, that guy knew our names. What if he's from our past, we have to help them." He looks at you trying to comprehend what just happened. "We can't trust them we don't even know who they are." You get frustrated "Bucky, they could help us get our memories back we have to help." You grab his hand "Please buck, let's help." He looks frustrated and debates whether you both should help or not. "Okay fine, come on hurry." You both run back to the fight and start destroying the alien things. More and more keep coming out of the portal you look to see where Bucky is. "Bucky! There's to many, we have to close the portal!" Bucky is trying to fight off the robots and so are you, a missel gets laughed and the man in the red metal suit takes it to the portal "Hey what's he doing!?" Bucky yells running up to you "I don't know, I think hes gonna take it to the portal to destroy whatever is making these robots come out." You all watch to see what happens. He finally reaches the portal and you all hear an explosions and see one by one every robot just shutting off. "He did it!" You say to Bucky still looking up at the sky. The portal starts to slowly close and before it fully does you see the man in the metal suit fall out of the portal. You hear the group cheering but you realize that he's not slowing down. You quickly use your powers to make sure he gets down safely everyone looks around to see what's moving him and they see you. You gently lay the man on the floor and take his helmet off. "Sir can you hear me, are you okay?" He slowly opens his eyes and looks at you "Hey kid, thanks for helping. You could have gotten hurt." The rest of the team comes running up to you, Bucky and the man. "Tony are you okay?" The man who recognized you and Bucky kneels down to this Tony guy and helps him up "Yeah I'm good, thank to this kid over here." They all look at you and Bucky grabs your hand "Come on we should go." You look at Bucky but before you could say anything the man in the American suit looks at you both "Do you know who I am?" You and Bucky look at each other confused "No, we don't sorry." He looks down and Tony interrupts "Hey kid you and your friend here have real potential, how would you like to come back home with us?" He asks you and you look at Bucky waiting to see if he would approve or not but before you could answer Bucky cuts you off "No actually, were good." You look at Bucky confused "Actually we would love to." Bucky looks at you irritated "Great!" When you all start to walk back bucky angily asks you "What are you doing, we can't trust them we don't even know them!" You look at Bucky "How can we ever trust them if we don't try to trust them. It will be fine Bucky trust me. Besides if it goes bad we will always have each other. We stick together." He pouts "Always and forever." You smile and you both follow the group to their home.
