Chapter 5: New home

You and the rest of the team finally get to the Avengers tower. Tony has his suit taken off and repaired and everyone heads inside. You and Bucky look around in amazement because the place is so huge and nice. "Whoa, this place is so cool Tony!" You say in amazement, he looks at you and smiles "Thanks kid, let's head to the main room to get to know you and your friend here." You all go to the main room and sit down and you sit next to Bucky on the couch and the man who recognized you and Bucky sit directly across from you both. "So what's your name kid?" "It's y/n" Tony smiles "That's a nice name, what about you?" He looks at Bucky but he doesn't say anything. "His name is Bucky, sorry for his attitude he just doesn't trust anyone very easily." You hold bucky's hand reasuringly. Bucky glances at you but looks back down. "Well it's nice to meet you both, I'm sure we will all get along fine." Tony says reasuringly "Well let me introduce you guys to the team, the blondie over there with a starring problem is Steve or Cap, that's Rhodey, that's Natasha but we all call her Nat, that's Thor, thats hulk but also Bruce, and finally Clint." They all look at you and wave or say hi. "Hello, it's nice to meet you all." You say with a smile. "Well since we all have introduced ourselves I guess we can talk about what happened out there, that was the cause of a man named Loki, thors brother." Before Tony could continue Thor interrups him "He's adopted." You giggle and look back towards Tony "Yeah well, he got something called the tesseract and opened the portal, we were able to close the portal but weren't able to catch loki. But our nice friend at Shield will be able to and they should be arriving any time now." You glance at Bucky and see him still looking down. Before you say anything a man wearing an eye patch walk through the door with another man in cuffs and a mouth covering. "Hello Tony, we got your man. Oh hello, who's this?" He looks at you confused. "I'm y/n this is my best friend Bucky." Bucky looks up but just for a brief moment. "Well it's nice to meet you both, I'm Nick Fury. If you excuse me I've got some business to do with Tony here." Before Tony leaves he looks at you and Bucky "Steve here will show you both to your rooms and if you need anything just let him know." Before you leave you look Loki you both hold eye contact until you and Bucky leave with Steve. You all walk down a long hallway but Steve keeps staring at you but you ignore him. "Okay these are your guys's rooms, if you need anything just let me know." Steve leaves and you room is right next to bucky's. "Kinda cool that our rooms are right next to eachother huh?" You say to him trying to get him to speak since he hasn't said anything since you both have gotten to the building. "Yeah." Bucky is about to go to his room but to stop him "Buck what's wrong?" You look at him concerned "Y/n, you know exactly what's wrong." He gives you a serious look. "Come on buck it's not bad, the people here are nice, they gave us a whole room to ourselves food and clothes." You give Bucky a small smile but he just looks down "Your right, we just can't trust them so easily you know that." You look down "Yeah I know that Bucky, I don't trust them yet but we could at least try to get to know them better. Please, for me Bucky boy." You say giving him sad eyes "Ugh, you and your puppy eyes, fine I'll try if it means that much to you." You squeak exitedly and grab Bucky by the arm "Come on let's check out my room first." You both enter your room and there's a huge bed and a huge closet with a bunch of clothes in it and you even have your own bathroom with a table and body mirror and a huge window. "Whoa, Bucky this room is amazing!" You say excitingly checking everything out. "Yeah, this is a really cool room." You both lay on the bed and it's the softest thing you both have ever layed on. "Bucky this is amazing, this is the best thing that's ever happened to us." He sighs and agrees with you, you quickly grab his arm and rush out the door. "Come on I wanna check out your room." You both go into the room and see that it's similar to your but the bed sheets are different and the clothes in the closet as well. "Wow, this room is even cooler!" Bucky grabs your hand and lays on the bed. "Hey doll, are you sure about staying at this place with these people?" He turns his head looking at you and you do the same "I'm positive Bucky, this is a new chapter in our lives and it's for the better, I promise." You say laying your head on his chest. "Okay, if you say so." He looks down at you and continues "What do you think about that Loki guy, he was looking at you kind of weirdly." You don't respond and Bucky looks down at you and realizes that you fell asleep. He doesn't want to wake you so he goes to sleep too.
