Chapter 25: Attachment

Two weeks have gone by and Loki still hasn't returned and you've been stuck in Bucky's room. "Doll, don't you wanna come down and eat?" He asks rubbing your back "No." You mumble "Come on doll you've been stuck in my room not wanting to leave for two weeks already." He says trying to convince you to get up "I'm miss Loki." You say sadly "I know you do doll." He says hugging you "But he'll be back sooner then you know." You sit up "How do you know that, it's been two weeks and it feels like eight." You start to tear up "Oh doll I know you miss him, but you have to take care of yourself too." You look down "I want Loki back." You say hugging Bucky "I know doll. Come on let's go eat something to make you feel better." You groan "I don't want to." Bucky rolls his eyes and picks you up "Your coming whether you like it or not." You chose not to fight it and he takes you to the main room where Tony and Nat are "Hey guys." Bucky says and puts you on a chair "Hey buck, hey kid haven't seen you in a while." Tony says but you keep your head down "Hi Tony." You say sadly "Hey y/n how would you like to go shopping?" Nat asks trying to lighten the mood "I'm ok." Everyone looks at each other trying to figure out how to make you feel better "Here doll, dig in." He says putting a plate down with your favorite food on it "Thanks buck." You look up at the plate and move it around with your fork but you don't eat "How about we get ice cream later, would you like that?" Tony asks "Maybe." You say still looking down at your plate,Tony looks at Bucky "Um hey doll how about we all get ice cream and have a little movie night." He says with a smile "I don't know Bucky." You say contemplating whether you should or shouldn't "Come on doll how can you turn down ice cream. You know you want to." He say jokingly poking your side "Fine, fine." You say cracking a smile "Great I'll let everyone know and we can have a little family movie night." Tony says standing up "And I'll make the preparations." Nat says following Tony, Bucky eats with you and eventually you have to get ready for the movie night "So what are you gonna wear doll?" Bucky asks looking through his closet "Can't I just wear what I'm wearing?" You ask looking down at your clothes "A baggy sweater and sweats are not for a movie night." He says laughing "Well I guess I'll shower and change into something else then." You say lazily getting up "Yeah you go do that." He says smiling, you go to your room and shower and change into a pink thigh short dress with one of Bucky's jean jackets and white shoes and you put your bracelet back on and you reach for your neck but realize that you gave your necklace to Loki, you get a bit sad but you decide to just go back to Bucky's room and you see him putting on cologne "How's this?" You ask walking up to him "You look really nice doll." He says with a smile "You don't look too bad your self Buck." You say with a small smile "Thank you doll. Should we go down go the theater room now?" He says holding out his arm "Yeah, lets go." You say grabbing his arm and you both head down go the theater room and you see everyone is already there and Banner sees you guys "Oh look who finally decided to arrive." He says jokingly "Hi banner." You say with a smile "It's nice to see you y/n." He says smiling "Yeah." You and Bucky sit down with Steve "Hi dad." He smiles at you "Hey kiddo, how you holding up?" You sit in the middle of Steve and Bucky "I'm ok dad, just miss him a lot." He puts his arm around you "I know you do." He says with a comforting smile "Alright who's ready for ice cream and popcorn." Tony says excitedly, everyone gets ice cream and popcorn and you all watch a movie laughing with each other and having a good time, eventually the movie ends and everyone chats with each other for a bit until it gets late "Well I'm the first to go to bed, see you guys tomorrow." Banner says yawning and leaving, little by little everyone starts to leave to go to bed until it's just Tony, Steve, Bucky, and you chatting with each other "What a bunch of grandpas they are." Tony says laughing "I mean it is kind of late Tony." Steve says laughing "Yeah I guess so, on that note I guess I should be heading to bed too." You laugh "Didn't you just say they were grandpas for going to bed." Before he leaves he turns around to you "Yeah but that's not including me. If you think about it, you three are the real grandparents." He says with a smile and leaves you turn to Bucky and Steve "I mean he does have a point." The three of you laugh and decide to head to bed too "Goodnight dad see you tomorrow." You say hugging Steve "Yeah, oh and y/n." He adds "Yeah?" You ask "Don't worry, he'll be back soon." He says with a smile "Yeah, I know." You say smiling and you leave with Bucky. You go to your room to change and you go back to Bucky's room and lay on the bed "Thank you for today Bucky I really needed that." You say smiling "Of course doll, I knew it'd make you happy." He says laying down next to you "I love you Bucky." You say hugging him "I love you too doll." He says smiling hugging you back and you both fall asleep.
