Let me take you on a trip~ (Enmu X Reader)

We arrived to our destination at night, and once we got off the train, Enmu offered me to take his hand, but I simply ignored him, so he took it himself and led me along the pathway. It was a beautiful city, I've been here before in the past, but I never got to fully examine it due to certain circumstances. Enmu continued to lead me along the way and I had no idea where we were going, I just silently trailed after him like a puppy on a leash and remained quiet throughout the entire walk. He brought me to an unsociable place where nobody would bother us while we enjoyed the mesmerising view, everything around was extremely quiet, and the only sound that could be heard was the water crashing against the shore, accompanied by a light breeze.

"Beautiful, isn't it~? " Enmu quietly asked as he came behind me and hugged my waist like he always did, wrapping his cold hands around my body.

...

"Yeah." I dryly replied, escaping his embrace and trailing away from him while glaring into the deep blue waters.

I just wanted to peacefully walk along the beach and enjoy some time alone, so I took off my shoes and slowly left Enmu behind, getting hypnotised by the view. The wind gently blew into my face and I slowly inhaled the chilly air, a calm breeze always felt nice after all. As I got carried further away along the beach, I concentrated on the soothing sounds of the water, but at some point my ears caught some faint sounds footsteps coming my way, and they kept getting louder and louder each second, until I turned around and noticed Enmu chasing after me with our shoes and his coat in his arms. He threw the clothing aside on the sand and jumped on me from behind, tightly wrapping his arms around my shoulders and almost knocking us down into the cold water.

"... Enmu. Be more careful." I tutted while rolling my eyes, waiting for him to let go of my back.

"Oh~ how awkward of me...~ My apologies~ But you liked it, didn't you?~" Enmu teased me as he saw a tiny blush appear on my skin when he spoke.

I felt my face gradually heat up once he mentioned it, but I remained calm and just turned my head away, hiding my annoyance from nearly being pushed into the water and from the dumb way Enmu was treating me right now. But he didn't seem to stop acting the way he did and only approached me closer until I could hear him breathing into my neck.

"You're cute when you're embarrassed...~" Enmu whispered teasingly into my ear.

...

"Quit it." I spat out as he let out a soft giggle, and then a short moment of silence reigned over us as he continued to hang on my shoulders.

...

"Still thinking about that incident..?" Enmu questioned as his tone became more serious.

"Trust me, you're the only one I'm always looking at..." He continued speaking as he left a tiny kiss on my shoulder and brought me close to him.

"You're the only one who has my attention. I know that we went though a lot last night... But it took me the first day when I properly met you to understand... that I cannot lose you... "

I stood emotionlessly and silently stared at the buildings not too far away from the beach while Enmu spoke, pretending to not pay attention to him. The lights shimmered from afar and looked like bright glimmering stars that allured me each second, but everything suddenly interrupted when Enmu picked me up in a bridal style and carried me over to our clothing, sitting down next to it and placing me on his lap, gently pecking my cheeks.

"Come on dear, talk to me..." He whined as he buried his nose into my shoulder and held me tight, lightly tilting me from side to side to try and get me to calm down.

I could see him still worrying about everything that's happened deep down inside, but I really wasn't sure what to do at this exact moment. I accepted his touch at this point, but I don't think I was ready to return everything how it was, in fact I didn't know how, it's just something I couldn't let go of. As he continued to softly kiss my face, I got drowned in my own deliberation and thought of what I should do next. If I was being honest with myself, Enmu brought in a lot emotions to my life after we got together, even if it happened recently, my attachment to him was immeasurably stronger than I ever would've expected. As a demon, he's a callously sadistic individual, but as a partner... He's a whole different person. In fact when I saw him for the first time in my life, he gave off such a cold demeanour despite how soft-spoken he was... I always held interest in him the moment I joined the Twelve Kizuki, but never in my life would I think that him and I would actually be able to get along and form a bond that was stronger than just infatuation.

... Though lately I had a theory that maybe... Just maybe.. Our love wasn't actually genuine.

...

What if since that day Enmu and I first saw each other, he held me in his hypnosis throughout the entire time, forcing me to think that I'm in love...

...

No.. What am I even thinking. He wouldn't have done such a thing, plus I don't think that his powers are capable of messing with my brain even when he's not around... Right..?

...

I quickly got rid of all the unnecessary thoughts that filled my mind up and lightly shook my head, clicking back to reality as Enmu gently caressed me in his embrace, showering me with his sweet affection and trying his best to brighten up my mood for this evening.

Ugh. He just knew how to hit my soft spot too well.

But this situation definitely left a mark on me, and unfortunately...

That's strike one for Enmu.
