‼️ WARNING: THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS CERTAIN SPOILERS FOR THE MUGEN TRAIN ARC, BUT MOST OF THE EVENTS WILL VARY IN ORDER FOR THE STORYLINE OF THIS BOOK TO CONTINUE ‼️

Enmu and I finally got to properly acclimate after our meeting with Lord Muzan and were ready to begin our mission. As we swiftly made our way to the point of our destination, we've been additionally informed that the flame pillar, Rengoku Kyojiro, was sent on a mission, and his way lied along ours, so a personal meet and greet with a Hashira on the mugen train was guaranteed, for Akaza though. An upper moon I haven't personally met.

"Right, I have a pretty reliable plan, and with Akaza's help it should go smoothly. Nothing too hard, I will be in charge of taking people out with my skills of making everyone fall asleep, plus I found a bunch of children to help me out during these missions earlier on, so in case something goes unplanned they'll be the victims. And that leaves you focusing on inflicting damage upon the passengers and our targets, as your blood demon art is mainly based on attacking" Enmu began creating a plan for us to follow throughout this night, looking over at me to get my approval.

"Yeah, and after getting a portion of Master's blood I feel like my nails became much denser and sharper, like look, they weren't the same before..." I answered, demonstrating my new abilities to transfix almost anything with my nails, which felt like claws made out of steel blades.

"Oh dear! Impressive~ Glad you discovered this new little skill of yours~ Guess you won't struggle too much with this task then~" He added, continuing on with making a strategy as we got closer and closer to the train station.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~Time Skip~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our time has come. Just a few seconds before our train left. This moment felt surreal... A tingle in my stomach made me realise that the moment of truth is close as the transport began moving while Enmu and I stood on top of the train's roof and waited until we left the borders of our city to begin incarnating our plan.
"Time to start our mission.~ I'll stay up here while you slide into the wagons and find our targets, don't worry, everyone will be asleep in no time.~" Enmu pronounced, snapping his finger in order to activate his blood demon art.
I nodded and left him behind as I climbed into the train and began my search for the demon slayers through the napping passengers that were forcibly plunged into vivid dreams within a minute. I wasn't planning on leaving anyone alive either, since I wanted to feast on the remaining corpses with Enmu later on, so I began to mercilessly slaughter everyone in my sight, eliminating anyone who didn't resemble our targets and testing out my new demon art techniques, often examining each passenger, hoping to find Tanjiro.
...
One row, two rows, three rows...
...
I think I found him.
...
Tanjiro himself...~
...
"This is him...~" I whispered to myself, approaching the demon slayer and taking his earring in my hand, moving my face closer to his with a blush forming on my cheeks.
I lifted his chin up with my cold trembling hand and began to examine his face closer... I was inches from him...
...
But suddenly...
...
His dark red eyes abruptly shot open and his eyebrows crossed as his glance fell upon me.
"Why did he wake up..?" I asked myself, jumpimg back from cautioun and surprise, noticing the rage in his crimson eyes.
There wasn't much I could do to flee myself except for shattering the nearest window and climbing back to the top of the train, so that's what I did. Stepping on the sharp fragments, I slid up and approached Enmu, signalling him that our plan took a different turn of events. His face drastically changed as he noticed Tanjiro standing furiously behind us, ready to attack and decapitate us. No other options left in this case but for Enmu to use his technique again to win ourselves some time, so he forced Tanjiro to fall asleep, causing him to pass out, however he instantly came back to his senses before I could inflict any damage on him. That fucking kid must've found a way to escape Enmu's blood demon art.
...
We we're now at risk. A pretty huge risk.
...
Enmu kept using his powers to put Tanjiro back to sleep, but it didn't seem to help, as he kept waking up every single time. This continued on and on until Enmu decided to distract him with a nightmare, leaving him frozen on his knees, this was my final chance to attack Tanjiro. I darted over to him, grabbing his neck and piercing it with my long nails, slicing his throat while throwing him to the roof of the train with all my strength, creating a dent in the surface that gradually filled with his blood, flowing from his split forehead in the area around his scar.
...
But even after that he managed to wake up and get back on his feet, taking his sword in his hands...
...
"You better be ready to die, because I'm losing self control."  I said irritably hissed to myself, jumping back to trap him between Enmu and I.
...
Enmu's attacks were useless at this point, just gradually slowing him down, but he kept waking up again and again...
...
"Enough."
...
"Enough..."
...
"Enough... Enough, ENOUGH!!!" I yelled in frustration, instantly rushing up behind Tanjiro, kicking his face to the roof and stepping on his back, breaking a couple of his bones.
I jumped into the air, trying to witness his torment as mad laughter escaped out of my mouth, making my maniacal giggles echoe around, but my lips momentarily shut when I realised that even after that he was able to stand straight on his feet. My eyes widened in surprise when the only thing that bothered him was the fact that he was covered in blood and his breathing was heavy and uneven.
...
How is this kid so tough...
...
"You get on my nerves, you foolish and annoying child. Die already or fight me now..." I chuckled.
“I’m going WILD!~”
At this point I was so driven by the temptation of killing that I completely lost my mind, I couldn't let Master down by failing his task, so I had to think of something effective as Enmu knocked him out one last time. My nails. I pushed my nails into Tanjiro's neck, extending them so much, at least ten inches long. A stream of blood rushes down my hands once I brought my nails to their regular lenght and began choking him, spectating the holes in his neck become wider. My hysterical gasps slowly turned into faint cries of confusion and fear that I might fail to accomplish our mission, so without thinking straight I grabbed Tanjiro's katana and sunk it into his neck, decapitating his head with his own sword.
...
I... I did it.
...
"WE DID IT! WE KILLED HIM!~" Enmu exclaimed as he ran up to me and gave me a tight hug, jumping over Tanjiro's corpse that laid in front of us.
"Master will be so proud!~ Congratulations my sweetheart!~" He continued as he picked up his head, enjoying the terrifyed expression on Tanjiro's face.
"Yeah...~"
