Once everyone vanished from the infinity castle I decided to take a break and stroll around the fortress by myself, admiring the breathtaking atmosphere of endless structures that constantly moved around. I was always amazed by Nakime's Blood Demon Art, words cannot describe how fascinated I am that a power this huge isn't in the top three of the Upper Kizuki. My favourite part about this place was always the ambient biwa strums that echoed around from afar, something about Nakime's music made me feel at ease, almost like I was home. If only I could spend more time in here... Sometimes I envy Douma for having his temple im such a gorgeous place like this. Maybe I should also move my house here someday...

"Hello." A soft and quiet voice rung out before me, making me twitch and lift my gaze up just to witness a familiar face standing in front of me.
"Rui..!-" I lightly exclaimed, throwing my arms to the side and inviting him into my embrace.
"Oh boy, I haven't seen you in ages, how have you've been?~" I asked as we made ourselves comfortable near the edge of the platform.
"I'm fine, thank you. I seemed to have missed out a lot judging by your rank." He replied as he lifted his head up and glared deep into my eyes, watching the kanji for Upper Moon 6 glisten inside my irises.
...
Hold on now, while I'm here staring back at him something doesn't feel the same about his gaze either...

"Wait a minute... Did you upgrade your rank as well??" I questioned in shock, watching a tiny smile appear on his face once I saw that his eyes no longer say Lower 5, but rather Lower Moon 2.
"Yes, glad you noticed. After successfully finishing Master's latest assignments he decided to reward me with a generous amount of his blood. Another reason for why my rank is so high is because the rest of the Lower Kizukis except for Enmu are deceased, which only leaves us two."
"I see..~ You have accomplished quite a lot since the last time I've seen you, I'm very proud of you, well done~" I praised Rui, gently petting his head as he continued to lay next to me like a kitten with his arms around my waist.

We conversed almost for an hour straight, speaking about all the events that happened in our lives over the past time since we've seen eachother: I went on explaining about my latest task in the Entertainment District with Daki and how we were able to help Muzan capture Nezuko, and Rui told me about his missions in Mount Natagumo. It turned out he was in a battle with Tanjiro moments before the last time I saw him on that Kizuki gathering when I was still a Lower Moon. I'm surprised he was able to even come this far, it was a miracle in the first place he managed to figure a way out to stay alive, but I was more concerned about the fact that no one told me anything about this situation...

"Wow, that's a lot to take in.. Well I'm glad you're still here with me, thats the most important part" I reassured Rui as I continued to peacefully sit on the edge of the platform and stare at the abyssal view of the fortress.
"... Yeah.." He mumbled as he layed on my knees and didn't take his eyes off me for even a split second.
I noticed the way Rui suddenly quietened down, so I averted my gaze at him just to witness a small blushing mess laying on my lap as his eyes kept darting from my chest up to my face. I couldn't help the urge to giggle at his flustered expression as he tried to examine my features less so directly, I wasn't even mad at him for doing so, after all it's been quite a while since the last time we've seen each other. Plus my assets did slightly increase in size since my transformation from becoming Upper 6, so no wonder they were a bit in the way and distracted him from our conversation.
"By the way... Your outfit is really pretty..." Rui stuttered out as I stroked his pale lilac colored hair, flashing him with a faint smile.
"Thank you~ It was a gift from Daki~" I replied, after what Rui climbed onto my knees and made himself comfortable by resting his head on my chest and wrapping his arms around me.
"Hm..? Rui, what's up..?" I nervously asked as a heatwave of embarrassment broke down onto me as he continued nuzzling into my kimono, making my pulse skyrocket once he said his next phrase.

"You have a wonderful body."

I expected him to say something eventually, but this... I hated to admit the fact that something fluttered inside my stomach once I heard that... After all I always saw Rui more of a younger brother rather than someone who can outright say something like this to me and make me flustered. His aura also changed the moment he said those words. It felt like it no longer was the same innocent Rui speaking. His demeanor became much more confident, hungrier...

His breath hit my collarbone which made me twitch and release a quiet gasp as my torso was still locked in his embrace. He felt very light and small yet his physical strength was vastly greater than I expected... "Your heartbeat is getting faster..." Rui spoke out, coldly lifting his gaze up at me.

"Rui... I think it's time you let go of me.." I tried to laugh everything off by giving him a small pat on the shoulder.

"Please." He whispered, carefully wrapping his threads around my body to keep me in his arms.
