Chapter • 28

Adriti's POV

Just then,
I heard a weird and hard sound.
I leaned my head out of the window and found two men inside a kinda expensive car.
As soon as they saw me, one of them pointed his gun towards me.
The men Abir sent with me, kept on saying me something but I just stood still in shock.
Before I could register the fact what was happening, the man shot me.

OWWW.

I fell on the seat and pressed my forehead which was filled with blood.
Everything seemed to be blurring.
Tears escaped my eyes due to the pain.
One thing I am thankful for is that the bullet didn't enter that much as I was a bit pulled by the man beside me.
But obviously it was late.
Too late.

One of Abir's men shot into that car and the other began driving fastly.

"Adriti's been shot." It was the last thing I heard before blackness took over me.

Abir's POV

"Adriti's been shot." Wait.... What?
The phone in my hand was about to slip but I catched it.

"HOW? WHY? WHERE? WHAT WERE YOU FUCKERS DOING AT THAT TIME?" I screamed at the top of my lungs, I can't-
control this anger.

"Sir, s-he ha-s been sh-ot at her-r forehead." He said stuttering.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! TAKE HER TO THE NEAREST HOSPITAL. BOOK EVERY DOCTOR. I NEED HER TO BE WITH ME OKAY?! I once again screamed and hung up the call.

Those who have dared to touch her will fucking pay for this shit.

I don't know why am I reacting this much... But I just can't

I sat on the bed and leaned my head on my hands.

Am I crying?

No.
I am not.

I can't cry.

I stood up with a jerk and rushed towards downstairs not before slamming the door.

It's been a habit now.

I entered the hall and saw everyone sitting there.
As soon as they so me, whilst they stood up.

"FIND WHO THE HELL HAS SHOT HER," I said in a very high and arrogant pitch while they all nodded.

"TRACK WHERE ADRITI IS ADMITTED. NOW!" after I finished with my sentence everyone started rushing to work.

Why is my life so complicated?

What is happening to me?

WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING?

I AM REALLY CRYING FOR A WOMEN?

Leaving these thoughts, me and my men rushed towards the hospital once after getting the address.

We sat in the car and made out way towards the hospital, I played with my fingers in nervousness-?

What's happening to me?

I just hope she is alright.
God, please let her be alright.

The memories of the time we spent together flooded in my mind.

"Your knuckles," She said pointing towards them.

"What?"

"Your knuckles are bleeding."

"So, what?" I am losing my patience.
Why don't people mind their own business?

"Let me clean it for you."

"No thanks,"

"You looked gorgeous while dancing." I said with a smirk.

"WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU HERE?" She once again yelled.

"Oh- you don't know.... You are mine now. [ I  took a pause ]
"From Tomorrow you're mine." I said with a smirk and left making her shocked.

My mind was about to process more but got broken by someone shaking my shoulders.

"Y-yes." I said to Ansh.

"Bro, what has happened to you? Where are you lost?"

"Nothing, it's just her....-" I mumbled.

"You look so concerned and tensed about her.... You have never been like this. What has happened to you?" He said while I just stare at him with a confused face.

"W-what?"

"You love her?"
No i-i don't.

"No-no." I said making my hands go up.

"You'll realise soon." He said and looked out of the window.

I tore my gaze away from him and stared at my side of the car's window.

I love her?

No.

I cant-
It's impossible -

My phone rang and I immediately picked it up seeing Yash calling.

"HOW'S SHE." It was the first thing I spoke.

"Sir- sir-r -"

"DON'T FUCKING START WITH THIS! TELL ME HOW'S SHE?!!!" I shouted on the top of my lungs.

"Sir, she is in a very critical condition... The bullet has hit her head. Doctor said there are very rare chances to save her."
