Part 15

My mom and I got back home after the fiasco that happened at the mall. To be completely honest I was pissed and only one person could possibly make me feel better and that was Paddy. I called him and he came over. While my mom cooked dinner, Paddy stayed in my room and we talked.

"I'm going to kill him" Paddy said sounding just as mad as me.
"I would probably let you but I can't. I don't want anymore problems" I said looking sincere.
"How could he do that, he is such a coward and-" I cut him off.
"And don't get me started on these 3 girls from our school that came to me like 20 minute after, one girl I think her name was Veronica-"
"Veronica Winstein?" He asks looking a bit irritated.
"Yes that was her name..why?" I ask very curious.
"Everyone hates her, but people are too scared to admit it so they just act like she's the queen of the school, and you don't remember this but when you were in 6th grade she made your life a living hell, she already rumors about you until the teachers discovered she made them up" he stated.
"Dam I'm glad I don't remember"
We talked all night and we ate dinner, afterwards Paddy got permission to stay over my house for a sleepover. We watched movies and Paddy showed me some pictures of us before the accident.
"That's the time you wanted to try skating because it was 'cool' " he laughed.
I smiled at him, the way he felt joy looking at old pictures, I don't know what came over me because next thing I knew my lips crashed into him, I knew he was surprised but then he kissed back. We kept going until we needed to breath. It was a solid 5 minutes of silence before Paddy spoke.
"Sorry" was all that came out.
Did he not like the kiss? Did he not like me? What am I saying! I barely know the guy.
"Wow uh no I'm sorry I don't know what came over me" I laughed it off like if it wasn't a big deal..it was.
"..mhm we can just forget this happened" his words were angry but he sounded hurt.
"Y-Yeah sure" forget it happened? How?! That kiss was so amazing.
Paddy got up, and left to the front door. Where was he going.
"Paddy where are you going? Aren't you staying over?" I asked.
"Um i just remembered I have stuff to do at my house..I'll text you later" he said as he left my home.

Paddy's POV

It's Monday morning and I haven't really talked to Ellie since that night. I was angry and I still am. She laughed it off like if the kiss meant nothing, yeah I know she's different now but still. I can't stay mad at her forever but I need space and time. Tom dropped me off to school and I headed for my locker.
"Hey guess who" she said.
"Umm a baboon?!" I joked
"Hey!" she said as she smacked the back of my head.
"Ow"
"Heh..are you still mad?" She said.
"What? I wasn't mad in the first place" I lied.
"Well whatever it was..are you okay now?"
"Yeah I'm perfect" I lied again, but I love seeing her smile.
She does small things that remind me of the old her, I've completely fallen for her, but she doesn't feel the same, not the old her nor the new her. The whole day passed on quickly I think today was a good day.

Ellie's POV

Today was absolutely horrible, at lunch everyone starred at me while I sat with Paddy. I kept hearing rumors about me being a psycho. The rumors kept going until school ended. As I walked to my bus Veronica stopped me.
"Hey psycho" she said as her minions laughed.
"What do you want?"
"Hmm I already have everything, oh wait except for Paddy...I want you to get away from him" she said.
"Or what?"
"Or I'll make up rumors to make Paddy hate you" she said.
"He won't believe them"
"He'll believe them don't worry.....if You agree I'll make the psycho rumors stop and if you don't agree I'll make worse rumors to make sure everyone hates you" she said with a smirk.
It took me a few minutes to think. "Fuck off" I said as I went in my bus.
"Okay if you say so"
A few hours later I was tagged in so many stories on Instagram. One said I was faking the amnesia for attention, another said I slept with a guy while dating Dean but worse of all one that said I lost my virginity to Paddy and that i told everyone he has a small weenie. I laughed at that last part not gonna lie but my laughter all ended once I heard my bedroom door bust open.
"WHAT THE HELL EL!" Paddy yelled as he shut the door.
"What?!"
"WHY WOULD YOU TELL PEOPLE SUCH A THING" he was furious.
"you don't actually believe that? Do you?"
"EVERYONE IN SCHOOL IS GONNA LAUGH AT ME! THIS IS SO HUMILIATING"
"Oh come on this is funny! This is all some rumor Veronica made up"
"El everyone saw you talking to Veronica and some people even said you were saying the rumors were true" he said giving me a mad look.
"Omg you seriously believe everyone over me? Wow just wow" I said almost laughing.
"You think this is funny?!" He yells.
"Yeah I do,I think it's funny you don't believe me.. YOUR OWN FRIEND" I yelled.
"How am I supposed to believe you! Your not who you used to be I get it.. but this is low even for you"
"Get out" I said.
He stood there in silence for a moment.
"GET THE FUCK OUT" I yelled in a furious tone.
He left after. How could he not believe me, did he not trust me? Why would I lie about that? I sat in my bed crying for hours until my mom showed up.
