A/n: sorry that I haven't posted in like two weeks my bad 😭

After the fair we parted ways from Rebecca.
"How was it" Tom asks as we got inside the car.
"Awesome!" I said.
"Yeah it was great" paddy says.
"Glad you two had fun"

It was 12:46pm when Tom dropped me off. Paddy kissed me goodnight and told me he'll see me tomorrow. I fell asleep feeling happy and having no worries nor troubles to ruin my night well, that was until I felt someone shake me. I woke up, my head blocking any noise, I was confused, I smelled smoke, the person shaking me was paddy, he didn't have on a smile that I loved. Finally the noise kicked in.

"ELLIE WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE! THROUGH THE WINDOW COME ON!" Paddy yelled.
"W-What's going on" I asked. The smoke detector blocking my train of thought.
'BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP'
When I could finally gain thought, the first thing I could think about was my mom. Where was she?
"My mom! Where's my mom!" I yelled while paddy was pulling my arm guiding me to my window where the ladder was. I could hear sirens outside. Yet the one thing I didn't hear was paddy answering my question.
"PADDY WHERES MY MOM?!" I yell at him.
"Maybe she's already down let's just go Ellie!" He said.

We went down the ladder. Then later I was greeted with fire fighters and the paramedics.
I couldn't find my mom.
"WHERES MY MOM I NEED TO SEE HER! WHERE IS SHE TELL ME!" I yelled.
"Honey listen calm down we need to check your lungs please sit" one of the paramedics said.
"NO" I yelled pushing the paramedic aside.
I ran towards my home but the fire fighters stopped me. What was going on? Where's my mom? Is she okay? WHERE IS SHE?! All the thoughts running around my head at once.
"There's still one more person left in the house" I heard a fire fighter say.
"We can't go! The fire is already too big and if we don't get the fire first it will spread to the other houses!" The other fire fighter answered.
"NO GET HER NOW I SAID GET HER! YOU CANT LEAVE HER YOU HAVE TO SAVE HER! DO YOUR JOB!" I yelled, tears rolling down my face as paddy holds me back.
"Please g-get her.." I sobbed.
