Part 24

"Honey get down here it's time for dinner" mom yelled to me.
"Okay uh coming down" I said.
I needed a plan to get out of this dinner, whatever i'll just make up something along the way.
I walk down stairs and I see mom and Richard talking together and laughing.
"Honey! Come sit, and say hello to Richard" mom said while grabbing me a plate of food.
"Actually i think I'll just have dinner at Paddy's, I have homework there to do anyways" I said.
"Please Ellie" mom said.
I sighed and sat down.
Richard cleared his throat "so Ellie your mom told me you play video game, what do you play?" He asks.
I roll my eyes "uh I play Apex sometimes, 2k, and madden.." I said playing with my food.
"That's cool! I play 2k, madden 22-" i cut him off.
"YOU HAVE THE NEW MADDEN 22! I HAVENT HAD TIME TO BUT IT!" I said in excitement.
"Yeah, I can bring it over next time if you want" he said.
"Oh really! Thanks"
He's not as bad as I thought...Paddy was right..like always.

After dinner it was about 10:43pm when i came over to Paddy's house.
"Hey" I said.
"Hey"
"You were right" I told him.
"Yeah i know" he said smirking.
"Shut up" I said as I grabbed his pillow and threw it at him, we laughed.
"Okay let's focus on our homework!" I said.
"Okay"

After an hour of finally understanding math, I then explained what the English homework was and how to do it. Paddy kept looking at me weirdly.
"Maybe if you'd stop staring at me you would understand the homework" I said.
"S-Sorry" he said looking away.
"Heh it's okay, want to go to the tree house after homework? We haven't been there in a bit" I ask.
"Yeah sure"

He finally got how to do the homework and we headed to his tree house.
"Ah it's been forever!" I said.
"Yeah"
"I love it here, like look at the view!" I said.
"Yeah the view is beautiful" paddy said looking at me.
I look back at him, he grabbed my chin and kissed me. I was shocked. Normally paddy is too shy to do these things but tonight he broke out of his shell.
"S-Sorry I-I know we are j-just friends and-" I kissed him.
It felt so right at the time. After we let go and catcher our breath. I spoke out.
"I-I choose you, I choose you Paddy, it's always been you from the start" I told him.
He kissed me.
After that big moment I headed home thinking about the decisions I had made. Was it a good decision? Was i just too caught up in the moment? I hope I made the right decision.
