'Ouch this fucking hurts..-"

Grace thought to herself as she limped through the thick brush, her tail wagging every so often as she gently climbed over fallen trees, her back left leg dragging behind slightly, the pain from the bullet was digging deeper.

'𝓨𝓸𝓾 𝓷𝓮𝓮𝓭 𝓽𝓸 𝓽𝓪𝓴𝓮 𝓲𝓽 𝓸𝓾𝓽'

The voice had startled Grace, for so long she had slept and forgot about her own inner wolf who kept her company when she shifted, they shared the balance between mortal and animal form.

"I know but I need to find somewhere to hide..-"

A low chuckle came from the wolf who urged Grace to take West from the main rocky road, this land was horrible, so dry and ashy.

'𝓣𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝓹𝓵𝓪𝓬𝓮 𝓭𝓸𝓮𝓼𝓷'𝓽 𝓼𝓮𝓮𝓶 𝓵𝓲𝓴𝓮 𝓪 𝓰𝓸𝓸𝓭 𝓹𝓵𝓪𝓬𝓮 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓾𝓼 𝓽𝓸 𝓫𝓮 𝓪𝓽, 𝓖𝓻𝓪𝓬𝓮'

Whimpering in agreement Grace moved away from the road and made her way towards the dry forest, lowering herself down to crawl on her belly to get through a thick thorn bush, her scent becoming lost within the ruined land and she soon came to stand in front of a small cave opening.

Leaping up Grace sniffed at the entrance checking for any other creature but the only scent she picked up was very faint and whatever it was had left a long time ago. Walking through the small entrance she soon came to an open clearing and paced in circles before laying down on her side.

Closing her eyes Grace allowed her body to shift, the sound of bones cracking and small cries filled the cave and soon her naked mortal form laid on the wet ground, looking at the wound in her leg Grace sighed softly.

"Fuck..-"

She murmured as she stretched the skin, seeing the silver edge of the bullet she took a deep breath and dug her fingers into the wound, clenching her jaw to stop her cries Grace manager to pull out the small piece of metal and dropped it onto the ground as the wound in her leg hissed for a moment before beginning to heal itself.

"Alright, now what do I do?"

She questioned out loud only to be greeted by silence from the inner wolf for what felt like forever and soon a low rumble came from inside her mind.

'𝓕𝓲𝓻𝓼𝓽 𝓸𝓯 𝓪𝓵𝓵 𝔀𝓮 𝓷𝓮𝓮𝓭 𝓽𝓸 𝓴𝓷𝓸𝔀 𝔀𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓬𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓾𝓻𝔂 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝓲𝓼... 𝓐𝓷𝓭 𝔀𝓮 𝓷𝓮𝓮𝓭 𝓽𝓸 𝓯𝓲𝓷𝓭 𝓱𝓲𝓶'

The words echoed in her mind and instantly the clear image of Theo standing outside that establishment flooded her thoughts and she smiled to herself, mainly sadness.

"Afger all this time he's still alive..- It was like seeing a ghost.."

She murmured to her wolf who purred happily in content.

"But first we need to figure out why we are here and what place this is..- You are right, we won't survive long otherwise..-"

Grace said within the darkness of the cave, curling herself up into a small ball until she was forced to shift into her wolf for extra warmth and she remained curled up asleep in the cave, completely unaware that Theo had entered a territory that didn't belong to him.

All to try bring her home.
