Chapter 16

Theo wasn't sure how long he sat there with Grace on his lap, long enough for the small femme to fall asleep and he simply watched her. She looked so small in his large lap all curled up and huddled under his shirt. There was a very faint grin that was on his features as he gently brushed her dark locks from her face, a quiet sigh escaped the woman as she shifted a little on his lap and he simply pulled her closer.

"Alright, bed time..-"

He murmured as he scooped her up tight against his chest whilst he rose to his feet, heading back to the tent he pushed the thin cloth open before allowing it to close and he moved towards the blowup bed, slowly putting Grace down before putting the covers over her.

He stood up straight once more, watching her before moving across the ground quietly, his shirt being tossed on the floor and his pants soon followed before he climbed into the bed. A shudder rolled over his large arm as he felt the slightly coolness to Grace's skin, shifting onto his side he hooked an arm around her waist and pulled her closer until her back was pressed against his hard chest. His nose burying itself into her dark locks once more, inhaling that sweet intoxicating honeydew scent that clung to her.

That was all he remembered before sleep took hold of him, for once he had a night of uninterrupted sleep, long centuries had passed and it seemed the exhaustion finally caught up to him.

Sun streamed through the thick cloth of the tent, it was enough to stir Grace from her sleep, rubbing her eyes she shifted to lay on her back as her eyes opened to look at the top of the tent. Condensation could be seen and she could smell the rain in the air but yet it was still silent, almost too silent.

Turning her head she saw Theo asleep, his silver locks all curly and messy. How could she forget how curly his hair was? Slowly rolling onto her side a hand gently reached out to brush over his cheek, he let out a low rumble as he was stirred from his sleep.

A hand reached up to clasp around her wrist a little too tight, almost forgetting where he was for a moment until he opened his eyes to see his Luna laid next to him and a smile grew across his chapped brims.

"Morning princess..—"

He grumbled before kissing the inside of her wrist and Grace let out a low hum in response.

"Morning Theo..-"

"How did you sleep? Ready for another day of travel?" He asked her as he shifted to prop himself up onto his elbow. His fingers moved to brush through what dark locks he could reach. His gaze scanning every inch of her features as she nodded gently.

"Where are we going? I don't know any place...-" She began to speak and Theo leaned down to press a tender kiss upon her brims to silence her before slowly pulling away.

"We are going home, Grace..-" He said as he brushed his nose against her own gently, eyes closing as he enjoyed the feel of having her so close.
