Grace didn't like the dress, the material clung to her skin too tightly exposed her cleavage just a little too much and the slit going down the side wasn't exactly ideal either but at least the colour was good. Could never go wrong with black.

Heels clicked on the polished wooden floor as she followed the sound of the music and voices. The whole place reeked of vampires but she had no choice but to go deeper into their nest. For a moment she forgot she was the most dangerous creature there due to the sheer volume of leeches that were hiding in the shadows or pawing over one another.

The doors to the grand ballroom were already open, people stopped conversation when they saw the Hybrid enter, some even giving her a little bow - Which Grace chose to ignore. Her feet continued walking until her hand grabbed a champagne flute off a waiter who was rushing by and she turned in a circle to avoid a couple who almost collided with her, only to be caught by the elbow by none other than Byron.

His lips curved up into a smile exposing his sharp fangs as his red hues swept over Grace. Shamelessly checking her out. "Now, don't you look ravishing..-" He said as he let go of her elbow. Grace looked him up and down noticing his changed his clothes for a black tie suit. Disgust written on her face for a moment before vanishing. "Keep your eyes to yourself Byron..-" She told him but something stirred within her stomach at how he looked at her and Grace was quick to dismiss the thought.

"I wasn't sure if you were going to make it tonight, I thought you might of tried to escape" Byron said as he offered his arm out to Grace who cautiously took it not before draining the contents of the champagne, a shudder rushed through her body as her expression wrinkled into one of heavy disgust "Ugh..- That is awful what is it?" She asked Byron as she placed the glass down; he chuckled at her reaction. "I almost forget you've woken in a world you don't know..-" He commented as he led her across the dance floor and towards the open balcony windows.

The clouds had cleared, Grace could see the stars from where they stood. Her eyes became wider with wonder and amazement. "Woah..-" She whispered as she let go of Byron. "When did you last see a view like this Grace?" He asked her as he stepped to her side, looking up the night sky and how the stars gleamed, even though they both know that they were burnt out sun's.. They were still beautiful to look at.

ɴᴏᴛ ᴀꜱ ʙᴇᴀᴜᴛɪꜰᴜʟ ᴀꜱ ʜᴇʀ - Byron thought for a moment before looking to Grace.

"The last time I saw something like this was when you dragged me away from my pack.. From my mate..-" She said, Ice in her voice made Byron freeze for a moment. This could go south if he was to piss her off. Instead he sighed heavily.

"I already told you, I had to. It was to protect you, Theo even handed yo-"

"Me over to the humans for testing, yes I remember Byron but he obviously had a reason, he wouldn't just hand me over for the sake of it!" She snapped at him as she turned to face him. He noticed the faint golden glow within her eyes. Her wolf still ever present.

"Okay okay..- Let's leave it for tonight I didn't want this night to be ruined.-" He said before extending a hand to her. "Will you give me the honour of one dance?" He asked her. The brief rage still boiled in Grace but if she was to get out this place she needed to play along and figure out a plan so she exhaled softly and took his hand. "One dance"

He nodded before leading back inside where he twirled her onto the dance floor, his free hand instantly snaking around her waist only to clasp at her hip on the opposite side, gently swaying back and forth with her before gliding her around the room effortlessly moving the crowd of others who danced. His gaze only watched her, ignoring those around them.

"Did I tell you how beautiful you look tonight?" He asked, Grace was snapped from staring at the people when he spoke and she looked up to meet his gaze studying his red hues "You said something of the sort..-" She muttered and he chuckled. "I just wanted to remind you-" He twirled her around before pulling her back in, leaning forward to her. Their lips so dangerously close.

"You don't belong out there Grace like an animal..- You don't belong here either..-" He said as he stood her up once more and continued to waltz with her. "You deserve a world that is your own.. You could have everything you wished for and more..-" He added.

"But what is the catch?" She asked him, curious as to wonder what his game was. "No catch, just let me rule alongside you. We don't need Theo, he won't help the wolves thrive"

"He seems to be doing a good job so far–"

"He hasn't shown you where the rest of the wolves live has he? He's only taken you to where his own blood pack lives..-" Byron soon realised. Grace scoffed.

"You can't talk Byron, these lands are like the desert, empty and full of death. -"

Byron shook his head gently "That is a cloak, a spell I had crafted to make others think that we were struggling like everyone else, in fact we are the higher fraction besides humans..-" He fired back quickly. Grace looked at him stumped for a moment. "I don't believe you-" She boldly said.

A smirk appeared across his features when she spoke. "I had a feeling you'd say that..-" He held onto her as black mist swirled around them both and he flittered her from the ballroom only to appear outside in a private garden and let go of her.

"See? I told you I never lie to you Grace, when are you going to start believing me?"

Grace was unable to answer him, instead she was stood staring at the view in front of her. Completely star struck and forgetting for a moment what was going on around her.

Forgetting about the situation

And forgetting about Theo.
