Chapter 6

“Sakura-chan, how is Yuna?”

The pinkette looked up from where she was standing guard outside the bathroom door that currently held the ill kyuubi. Her mom had called Ibiki, and the jounin was now standing before her. “She says she's fine. She claims it was the fish she ate last night.”

Ibiki arched a brow at her, his arms crossed over his chest. “You mean you haven't examined her to find out what's wrong?”

“She says she's fine. Which is good enough for me.” Sakura said, her own arms crossed. He looked ready to speak, but she continued darkly. “You should trust her, Ibiki-sama. Only then can you truly gain her trust.”

The man frowned at her, but knew arguing with his daughter's friend would only make him have to wait longer to see the redette. After silence set in, they waited for Yuna to come out. But no sounds came from the bathroom.

Sakura began to frown, as she turned and knocked twice. “Yuna-chan, are you alright, do you need any help?”

Only silence answered her, and both shinobi started to wonder why the beast made no sound. Sakura put her hand on the door knob. “I'm coming in Yuna-chan.” She warned, before pushing the door open. A gasp left her lips as she found the small room to be empty.

“Sorry Sakura..” Yuna mumbled as she dashed back up the road that lead to her teammate's house. She knew Mebuki would call Ibiki, and wasn't surprised to hear his voice when he did come.

The kitsune's stomach lurched again, nearly sending the nine tailed demon to her knees as she rested against a neighbor's fence. It took everything she had not to throw up again, not that she had anything left in her belly.

The beast grimaced, turning toward Tsunade's office. She had a lot of things she need to do now that she remembered. She needed to pick up what she had been stripped of when she arrived at the hospital. She also needed to find out where Sasuke was in this pathetic village. Finally she needed to find a way back to Pain and Konan.

Not that she expected it to be an easy task, with Ibiki trying to keep her under the impression that she loved this village, but she knew she'd have to succeed. Perhaps she no longer held such a deep hatred for the village, most of her hatred should be saved for Sasuke, but that didn't mean she would let the leaf off the hook.

No, she was going to make them pay, they would just have to wait for her. All she wanted to do now was get her wedding ring back, and kill the man that had murdered her husband.

But you swore you would never kill him.

The demon nearly screamed at the voice in her head.

'Itachi!'

You swore you wouldn't kill him. His whispered in her ear.

'Mah. I only swore not to kill him on site.' She retorted, though she felt lighter on her feet now. Hearing his voice, even if it was her mind relaying what they had already said to each other, made her feel at peace.

Yuna....

'He killed you! I have every right to kill him!'

I was already dying.

'I could have saved you!'

No my darling, you couldn't have.

The kitsune winced, cradling herself in her arms as she walked. She'd argue with her memories of Itachi later, right now she just wanted to get her ring back.
