Chapter 33
"It's splitting up.." Hashirama observed, frowning as the smaller versions of the Juubi began breaking off from the whole "It doesn't want you to get to the main body."
Yuna growled, running side by side with Sasuke and Naruto, cutting down the mini-Juubi as they came at her. She was quickly reminded just how much out of practice she really was. The two boys with her having to take more than one or two of the Juubi out for her.
"Now it's filled up... I can finally release it."
The crimsonette just barely had enough time to dodge as one of the Juubi flew forward, only just missing her. She moved again as Sakura jumped up to punch the ground.
"SHAANNAROO!!!!"
The ground all but shattered under the force of the pinkette's touch, forcing the rest of team seven to dodge the flying rocks. Her teammates couldn't help but look on in awe, Naruto a little more terrified, of her destructive strength.
"I also don't need it to look younger!" The kunoichi proclaimed.
She was a little more focused on her teammates reactions that she only just notice the three Juubi pieces coming up behind her. Luckily her team did.
"Fuuton-Rasen Shuriken!"
"Enton Kagutsuchi!!!"
Yuna smirked, using the flying thunder god technique to jump to Sakura's side, black sparks already forming in her mouth. She'd show them she could keep up. The mini sphere formed quickly on her lips, before she spit it at the third Juubi clone. Successfully destroying the creature.
"Sasuke-kun! Yuna-chan!" Sakura smiled at the two, standing back to back with her.
"Um... I'm here too Sakura-chan!" Naruto complained, from his spot beside her.
"Just don't get in my way, Naruto." Sasuke warned.
"Yes, if you're busy fighting, I'll snatch the Hokage seat out from under you!" Sakura teased, raising her hands in a defensive manner.
"Ehhhh!!! Sakura-chan too?!"
Yuna rolled her eyes, relaxing her stance, as she swept her bangs out of her eyes. Her ears perked with anticipation, her tails swaying softly. "What the hell, this kyuubi will become Hokage too, Mah!"
"Yuna-chan?!"
Sakura smiled, glancing back at her kyuubi sister. "This time, we'll go back to back.
Naruto, Sasuke, and Yuna each exchanged glances, taking in their rival's new techniques. It had been a long while since any of them had fought each other with anything new.
"Team eight will be going too! There's no way we're losing to team seven!" Kiba yelled, again seeking attention. "Naruto, don't think you're the only one that can use this skill! Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"
"You've only got one extra!" The blonde called back, clearly confused. "Even back at the chunin exams, I could still.."
Yuna couldn't stop the chur from rising in her chest, as Kiba carried out his new trick. Transforming him into a Cerberus, with the help of Akamaru and his clone.
"Pfft! Sasuke's gag was disgusting, but strangely emotionally uplifting!"
The crimson colored beast of team seven grinned at the way the Inuzuka cut through the many Juubi ranks. It was good to know the jutsu wasn't some useless thing he'd made up.
More of the rookie ten began to use their own attacks, all fueled with determination. It was almost heartwarming to see them all fighting so hard to protect the world they grew up in.
InoShikaCho joined together making a human bullet yoyo. Effectively taking out a large percentage of the Juubi beast.
"Hey, I'm actually part of team seven too, you know!"
"Sai!"
Yuna looked up, to see Sasuke's replacement flying on an ink bird. He was going to attack the original Juubi head on, but it attacked first. Destroying his bird and leaving him to a death drop.
"Sai!" Naruto reached out with a chakra, the kyuubi beside him knew well, bringing him to a safe landing. "You alright?!"
"It's no use, the enemies are multiplying, even the smaller ones!"
"The size is indeed quite a burden." The first Hokage agreed, a frown setting on his lips as he stared at the large see of Juubis.
"Naruto,, Can you still give the others chakra?" Sai asked. Yuna's eyes glowed at the blood rolling down his cheek. She very much wanted to taste it.
"I can't do it now! I haven't saved enough of Kurama's chakra!" The jinjuriki replied.
"You know Otou-san's name now?" The other part of Kyuubi asked, going up to the two.
"Yuna-chan! You can share you're chakra right?" Naruto asked, his attention turned to her completely.
She frowned, her demonic eyes narrowing to slits. "Baka-Naru. This kyuubi isn't a jinjuriki. She's a part of a biju mah!" The demoness hissed, gently punching his arm.
"You'll need to mow down the big ones first then, and slip close enough to beat its true form. That's the only way." Sai replied, looking a little more tired now. "It isn't close enough for you to jump at one go.. Though there's enough time for us to repel the enemy's attacks and cast some seals."
He hesitated, noticing the burning look he was getting from the kitsune. "But unless you have sufficient chakra.. You might suffer severe wounds. The healing group can't make it up front." He finished.
Yuna frowned as her three original teammates bit into their thumbs, and drew out seals.
"Mowing down and slipping past, that's no trouble." Sasuke mumbled.
"In addition to jumping and getting closer in one go. I'd have to avoid his attacks. This guy sure packs a punch." Naruto commented.
"I'm all ready here for healing if anyone gets severe wounds, if it's the current me." Sakura nodded."
Still frowning, with her ears drawn back, Yuna was once again reminded of the difference between her teammates and herself. The kyuubi unsealed her restrained chakra.
"I guess I'll aid as a back up healer and keep the enemy forces from advancing, mah." She growled, her voice changing as she shifting into her full kyuubi form the same instant Gamakichi, Katsuyu, and Aoda appeared under her respective teammates.
She was pleased to know she stood at least ten feet taller than the snake summoning, making her teammates have to look up at her.
"Mah, one pro of being kyuubi, Sasuke." Yuna churred, sending the Uchiha a glare, he was right at her eye level. "She needs no one to carry her."
He smirked ever so slightly, he'd almost forgotten how she looked in this form. Her eyes burned like raging forest fires and her muscles rippled with power under her fur.
It made him remember his final promise to his brother. "You may prefer to run Solo Yuna, but I will be there to catch you if ever you should fall always."
He swore he saw her lips curve up into a foxy smile, but before he could be sure, the demon dashed forward. Going to take out as many Juubi beast as she could.
