Chapter 17
Agony, pure agony. She hadn't even made it out of the hideout before it washed over her. Yuna's heart clenched as she imagined what horrible things could be happening.
She would have crumbled to the ground right then, if not for the determination that burned in her soul. The kyuubi needed to get out of this place. She didn't have time for stalling.
After giving her directions on where the actual entrance to his base was, Kabuto had informed her that the black cloaked man should be gone for at least an hour. Which should give her enough time to escape and get far enough away before her returned.
Unfortunately, the demon felt she wasn't moving fast enough. The exit was in sight, yet she didn't let her nerves relax. Just as Kabuto had described, the door opened up into a large cavern, leading to the outside world.
If a leaf had brushed her arm, the kitsune would have had a heart attack, that's how on edge she was. She was so close to escaping. So close to the outside world.
That's why she felt at any moment the darker cloaked man would appear. He would show up and send her back into a dark prison. As though things couldn't get any worse. The kyuubi's stomach decided to make its appearance.
She grimaces as her earlier nausea returned. "Not now..." She hissed, leaning against a storage bin for support. An upset stomach, combined with the pain in her chest were unbearable.
She wasn't going to get anywhere like this. She needed out before her captor returned. Luck was anything but on her side as she finally stumbled out into the brightly lit clearing.
"Oh my, you're just full of surprises, aren't you, Kyuubi?"
The kitsune glanced up to see she'd landed at the feet of the man she'd been so desperately trying to avoid. Instead of coming up with a clever retort, to get the man upset, the demon caved and emptied her stomach.
If she'd been in a better mood, she may have enjoyed his reaction, that involved jumping three feet back. She would have liked to know she barfed on his shoes too, but his open toed sandals were perfectly untouched.
"Still in the 'morning sickness' phase." He cooed, kneeling beside her, where he could pull her hair back.
"You're disgusting.." She grimaced, looking up at the shadowy figure.
He chuckled, tracing her jawline with a gloved hand. "The same could be said of you Kyuubi."
She hissed in retaliation, not finding enough strength to push his hand away. Her captor seemed to relish in her weakness, as though to throw it back in her face.
"I suppose you want to leave now." He said, lifting her back to her feet.
She didn't say anything, she was already fearing the worst. He had one hand securely wrapped around her neck, his other pressed against the small of her back, using his own body to support hers.
She was close enough to see under his hood, yet the shadow it cast was doing well to keep his identity hidden from her searching gaze.
The beast let out a strangled sigh, forcing her eyes to light up. The small light reflected off his, but was not enough to reveal his face. Not that she needed that to identify him.
Her eyes went wide as she stared into the single black orb. She only knew two people who possessed one eye, and there was no way it was her former sensei under there. She thought, her gaze narrowing as she got over the initial shock.
"Tobi..."
Her growls were choked out of her as his hand tightened, cutting off her air supply. He chuckled, leaning down, his breath ruffling her fur.
"Took you long enough, I was beginning to think you had forgotten me." He cooed, lifting the demon off her feet.
She gasped, her hands coming up on reflex to try to get him to release her. Her claws scraped at his arm, but he remained indifferent.
"Too bad Itachi isn't here to save you this time."
Anger boiled in the kitsune's veins, despite her lack of oxygen. She wouldn't let him talk about her husband, the mere mention of his name was shame to his memory.
"It's too bad he isn't here to stop me." She hissed, her hand prying his fingers back, snapping some in the process as she revealed the bruised skin of her neck.
The smirk dropped from the Uchiha's face as the wind picked up around them, leaves and debris moving around them as though they were in the center of a whirling tornado.
"You're a fo-ol if you thought this kyuubi would allow a pitiful mortal to speak the name of her fallen mate." Her voice changed, sounding much more like her demon of a father.
Her eyes glowed fiercely, her lips pulled back in a deathly snarl. The unmasked man watched as her marks grew in definition, her features much more animalistic.
He chuckled as her hand went to grasp his neck, but phased right through it. "You won't be able to lay a finger on me." The Uchiha cooed, as she pulled her hand back.
She scowled, using a technique she hadn't used in ages. The flying thunder god technique. She 'jumped' to behind the man as he went to attack her.
She attempted to kick him in the back, but found herself going through his body, as though he were nothing but air.
She tumbled to the ground under him, annoyance building in her. There had to be some kind of weakness in his trick. She just had to find it. Whatever it was anyway.
She didn't get much time to think as his fist came down on her, she barely dodged a hit to the stomach. The crater in the ground told her his attack had been very real, not something that would have gone straight through her, and that he still wanted to harm her baby.
So he was solid when he attacked. It was going to be difficult to get a hit in, if she had to wait for him to come at her. Yuna clenched her fist, rolling out of the way as Tobi attempted to kick her.
"It's hopeless Kyuubi, you can't beat me."
"Foolish mortal can say what he wish, but in the end there is no victory for you." She hissed, going to attack the same moment he was.
Time seemed to slow as he came at her, she came at him. He probably expected her to dodge his attacks, like she had been. But she didn't. She face him to the last millisecond, the kunai in his hand just touching her stomach, when she 'jumped' behind him.
Smirking, the demon drove her claws into his back, taking pleasure in the smell of freshly spilt blood. The man gasped, unable to get up, without her claws sinking further into his back.
"Mah, I told you." She barked, her body relaxing as she felt she'd gained the advantage.
The man looked at her, hatred burning in his eyes. They reflected her own emotions toward him, and she took satisfaction in knowing he was in pain because of her.
"This isn't over." With those words still leaving his lips, Tobi disappeared in a cloud of smoke, leaving her alone.
"Coward...." With the danger completely gone, her sudden adrenaline vanished, and she was remaindered of why she was so eager to leave.

Kinaru: That's all for now! I hope you enjoyed, please vote follow and review!
For the record, I don't own Naruto or Shippuden, only Yuna and my OCs. BTW is it weird that I've already started writing what happens after she gives birth?
And for anyone who may have forgotten, that's coming around soon. I want to get to the fourth shinobi war, I've got a lot planned for there.
SO ya... Tell me what you think! I'll hopefully talk to you again this weekend!
