Chapter 14
Kinaru: You people are amazing. I woke up this morning with my phone flashing from all the comments! Needless to say I had a very good morning. Thank you!
I hope everyone enjoys! And to the question in the comments on the last chapter, I'm sorry, but if I were to answer whether 'is it a boy or a girl' it would spoil the mystery of not knowing.
Also “Monthly cycle” means her period, if that was a question.
Anyway, I guess it's time I start the actual chapter, huh....
Alright! I don't own Naruto or Shippuden! Only my OCs! ENJOY!

What did he just say? Yuna stared at the shadowed man as though he'd lost his mind. The glass of blood she'd been holding had shattered, the liquid spilling onto her lap, but she paid it no mind. “Not that it's any business of yours, mah. I had it..........” All the color seemed to drain from the kyuubi's face as she thought back on how long it had been since her last cycle.
Why hadn't she had it? She was well overdue. The demon looked down at her exposed stomach, confusion clear in her eyes. What was wrong with her? Had she done something to stop it? Was it because she'd died?
“What's wrong with kyuubi?” She asked, her voice suddenly quiet and scared. A little voice in the back of her head told her she didn't want to know what was wrong.
She heard her caretaker clear his throat, and place a supportive hand on her shoulder. “I'm not sure if congratulations are wanted....” He began, just as quiet as her. She raised her gaze to his silhouette, hoping to find some comfort in looking at his form. “But it does appear you're pregnant.”
He hadn't expected the kitsune's eyes to grow so large, or for her to draw away from his touch so quickly. “You're wrong! Kyuubi can't reproduce!”
“Now don't say that, I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for this, kyuubi.” He began, reaching out to comfort her, but the newly discovered mother dodged his hands.
“I am not pregnant! A human can not impregnate a demon!” She snapped, her eyes glowing red fury. It wasn't possible, it couldn't be. Itachi wouldn't leave her if she was, he wasn't heartless.
“That's not necessarily true.. There have been cases before...” The man began, but she cut him off with a deathly glare.
She wasn't pregnant. She was just sick, there was no way in all things holy that she could be pregnant. She sunk into the corner of the room, away from the man. This couldn't be happening. She had to be dreaming. Yes that's what it was, a horrible nightmare. Just wait, in a few moments she was going to wake up and everything was going to be fine.
She'd be back in that hotel with Itachi, waking up together after their first night as husband and wife. Yes, that was the real world, this was all just a dream. Any minute now, she'd wake up to see his sparkling charcoal eyes looking down at her.
No matter how many times the tailed beast told herself it was just a dream, she couldn't seem to convince herself for even a second that it could be true. “This is a nightmare..” She whispered, hugging her knees.
Was this what he meant when he said she still had a reason to live? She laughed dryly, damn him. She'd get him back for this.
“It's not as bad as it looks..” The cloaked man chose now to speak, calling her attention back to him. “You do at least know who the father is, right? I'm sure he'll take you back.”
She had never wanted to strangle someone so much in her entire life, not even Sasuke had angered her to this degree. “He's dead.” She said bitterly, her pupils thin slits in seas of blood.
