Part 7: Universe works on balance

"Holy moly cow shit" Mahir fainted.

Agitated, Bela tried to wake him up. She expected a shocked reaction but at least not a fainted mahir.

Endeavored, Bela kept her palm on his forehead, closed her eyes.

Within few seconds Mahir woke up.

He glared at Bela "you are a liar. " He shouted being annoyed and averted his angry glare to another side.

"Mahir Ji listen to me" She poked his forearm but he didn't even glance at her.

"Shut up Bela. You.... You are....such a liar. You just caught me in your innocent eyes. You fooled me. I hate this so much. You don't know how will I get back to my family right? You are playing with me, right? Enjoying it"
Mahir snapped at her being imprudent with glossy eyes.

"I trusted you" He added more like whispering.

"Mahir Ji" She too whispered, teary-eyed. She tried to grab his face but he jerked away.

Quietly, she sat there with her head hung low. He glanced at her when she didn't try recurrently.

His heart melted looking at her. She was sitting like a child who scored very less marks in her exams and then she was sitting for the parents-teacher meeting.

Mahir chuckled a little remembering his school days when he too sat like that.

Bela glared at him and his smile instantly vanished.

She stood up and started walking away.

"Bela....Bela .... " Mahir tried to call her but she kept walking heedlessly.

"Where are we going? " He nudged her but she turned away.

"Please...... " He held his both ears.

"Why do you want to know you don't trust me right? "

"When did I said I don't trust you? "

"You said you trusted me"

"Yes I said I trusted you but when I said I don't trust you now"

"You.. Idiot"

Mahir grinned at her and said sorry for venting out his frustration on her.

"But still I think I wasn't that wrong" Mahir tried to reason out but a single glare from Bela and he taped his mouth.

"It's fine. My fault. All mine "

Don't forget Mahir she is perilous. Mahir warned his inner self.

Bela held his hands, looked deep into his eyes "Mahir Ji trust me I don't want to create problems for you. This will really lead you on your way. I know this all feels absurd to you but this is true Mahir Ji.I really want to help you escape from this and this is the only option we have right now. "

Mahir gazed deep into her eyes. They kept diving deep, each other's eyes as if reading a secret message between them. It created some unknown magic in the atmosphere. They wanted to stay like that, it did something magical, something which drowned them in a feeling of affection.

When the thirst of their hearts fulfilled a little, slowly and carefully Bela withdrew her hands back.
They both nodded at each other awkwardly, went to the opposite sides.

Only after walking 10 feet, Mahir realized he was supposed to follow Bela. He quickly ran back to her not before tripping on a stone.

He gave her his signature toothy grin and quietly started following her as he didn't have any other option.
