CHAPTER 6IRENE
"Hyun." I turn to face the person who just called my name, and it's Wheein, who is still dressed as a chef despite the fact that the restaurant is closed for an important event tomorrow.
"Oh, Why?" I ask her and continue to check all of the things we need to prepare and that will be cooked for tomorrow's event, even though they are all prepared and ready. I'm just double-checking because Miss Syl assigned me to this task.
"When is the next meeting? I'd forgotten." She asks, chuckling as she leans in the kitchen sink behind her. Regardless of whether or not I answered her question. It would be fun to play a joke on her.
"It's completed. The meeting is over." To stop myself from laughing, I said seriously, turned my back on her, and pretended to read the clipboard.
Jinyoung and Premo went to the hall with the rest of the team to set up the tables and set up the serving area, but they are still not here. They left after lunch, so maybe they'll be here in a minute because Jinyoung messaged our group chat that they were finished helping at the venue.
"What?! Is the meeting finished?" That's something Wheein said that made me smile.
"Why didn't you call me back then? Oh my goodness. Mister Henry and Miss Syl will be upset with me. What am I going to do?"
I'm back in front of her. A smile forms on my lips, and her expression becomes solemn as she realizes what I'm up to.
"What's wrong with you, Joo-Hyun?" she asks as she walks away, but before she can, I set down the clipboard and grab her wrist, causing her to come to a halt. "I'm just kidding, you know."
"Then I'm not here to make a joke, Hyun. You already know how much I despise pranks." She screamed.
"Okay, I'm sorry. Don't be upset with me." I replied and pouted at her, knowing she couldn't stand up to me. "Very fine, very fine. Don't make that expression on me. It will have no effect on me. So put an end to it."
I let her go and returned to where I had left the clipboard. "Later, when Mister Henry and the others return." I already answered her question. "Okay, that's fine. So, perhaps after working hours?"
"Why? When Miss Syl announced the meeting, when did you go?" I ask her, perplexed, because, as far as I know, she was present and present when they told us about the meeting.
"Ahmm. Sorry. I'm not paying attention when Miss Syl says it." That's what she said, and it made me sigh. "Silly. Yeah. Following working hours. So we'll do our overtime later."
"Okay. Thank you very much, Hyun." She responds to me with zeal. "The boss did not tell us what kind of event would be held at the hall tomorrow. This will be the major event that will be handled. I'm curious what it will be, and how that hall will be used. That is the largest hall in Italy. Didn't you know?"
My attention was drawn to what she had said, and I cast a glance at her. "Really?"
"Yeah. People say it's still a hall, but it looks more like a stadium to me. You already know because you saw it. Now I'm curious about what the meeting will cover later." She stated.
Yeah. THE GREAT COUNCIL HALL is massive, with impressive structures and interior designs. It's stunning. It was hypnotic. "I believe prestigious people will be present." I stated.
The “Sala del Maggior Consiglio” is an imposingly beautiful, massive hall of the Palazzo Ducale, and a magnificent example of the Republic of Venice's greatness. This massive room, one of Europe's largest halls, was the meeting place of the Serenissima's most powerful governing body: the "Great Council" or "Maggior Consiglio," which was in charge of voting laws and electing rulers and etc.
