CHAPTER 19JENNIE
I didn't go to work today because I wasn't feeling well. It feels like I just want to lay in bed all day resting my body and it's been a week now that this routine of mine has been dominating me and I'm fed up with myself. There's a lot of work in the office and here I am, the CEO of NIEEH laying on the bed for the ridiculous reason that I want to stay in bed all day? Jennie Ruby Jane Kim Manoban, are you serious?
"Mooom." I heard one of the twins calling me outside of our room where am I. I think it's Liam who's the most talkative of the twins and I already figured it out because I recognize their voices despite the fact that they're twins. They are my children.
"Yes, baby? I'm here." I said, and I heard his feet running away before he climbed into our bed. "Where's your twin?" I ask as he lies beside me which is his Dada's place.
"He's downstairs, playing with Grandma. Where is Dada?" he asks after clinging to me and hugging me so tightly that I hugged him back.
"She went to the company already, baby," I explained and I believe they didn't see her leave because she told me she was leaving early so the twins wouldn't be awake until later and when I look at him he's pouting his lips. "She'll be back later, baby, don't be sad. Dada is working, okay?" I said. I'm glad the twins have grown close to Manoban in the two and a half months that have passed.
Regardless of her busy schedule at work, she always makes time for us; however, the twins despise her during those times. When my parents, Mommy Chitthip, Daddy Marco, Nay Silvia, Tay Ben and I are all busy. I'm bringing them both to work with me, and after their half-day with me, they'll go to their Dada's place but sometimes one of them stays with me and the other with Lisa, and Bambam and Jackson were their playmates with whom Lisa didn't always agree because she didn't trust them with the twins.
She is concerned that they will teach our children lessons that they are not supposed to be taught but I trust them. She can trust them in the workplace but she cannot trust them with our twins. What a farce. Every weekend we also had a family day.
Champagne is also coming to play with them and I'm hoping that the other members of the squad will bring their children as well so that the three don't feel lonely and sad. Dindin is also a good old sister to them because she looks after and plays with the three but she's also busy because she's studying and attending her class at school which is understandable.
"Grandma said you're not okay? Mom?" I said as he sat up in our bed. He has a striking resemblance to Manoban. His eyes and lips were from her Dada. Liam Jade is similar to a small Manoban especially in his attitude and personality whereas Jaehee Emerald is a mash-up of us that we don't always understand. I'm hoping that one day I'll have my own mini Jennie so that Chaeng doesn't tease me and the others because Champagne is a carbon copy of Chaeng.
"I'm not, but if you kiss me, Mommy's bad feeling will go away." I told Liam, and he smiled broadly at me before approaching me and kissing me on the lips. His small hands were placed in my cheeks so I pouted my lips to allow him to reach my lips while I was still laying in our bed. "I'm fine now, thank you baby."
"Your welcome Mom." He said and winked at me. "Where did you get those?" I asked because it was the first time I saw him wink at me.
"To Dada. She told me to do that especially with you." He said and winked at me again, which made me feel loveliness so I carefully pulled him towards me to hug my son again.
"All right, let's go downstairs now. Maybe your twin will be annoyed if we don't join him with Grandma. Come on, let's go." I say, and he jumps on the bed with excitement. "Be careful." I warned him.
