CHAPTER 31CHAENG
Kim's Hospital's busy hallways and corridors are now in disarray. Nurses and doctors continue to enter and exit Irene's room, carrying various hospital supplies. They were in a hurry, and every second counts, and a single minute is too much time for them to waste if they don't do something with it. And we can't do anything about it because we're not qualified to do what they're doing now.
Her viral signs monitor and heartbeat monitor went flat while we were busy listening to the information that Jennie's parents and some of the doctors were discussing with us about her situation when suddenly this chaos struck and they needed to revive her.
Me and the rest of the gang can't do anything but cry and cry at the space allotted to us other than Irene's room when we have to leave her room to give them space. And it feels like my heart is about to burst because our bestfriend is on the verge of losing her precious life.
No, sever it. She is actually dying right now. We can all hear the sound of the reviving tool they were using in her room, specifically the electricity shock into her chest. Inside her room, we can hear their voices. This situation is giving Irene a heart attack. My heart is bursting at the seams with pain and heartbreak.
Only Seulgi and her parents were inside her room, crying and begging Bae not to give up and leave us all, despite the fact that she was clearly giving up. They are simply reviving her in order for her to be alive and continue her life. The doctors are reviving her heart so that it can beat again. I can't help but wonder why she deserves this when she didn't do anything particularly wrong to deserve it. Everything is moving too quickly for me, and I despise it.
Why does she have to be in a semi-comatose state, and after a few hours, her heartbeat drops? Why does she have to do this, leaving us all unprepared to let her go and die? Why is she already giving up when there are so many people who still love, care for, and adore her, waiting for her to get better and live longer. She's still young, and her son is counting on her to improve. She has to be there for her family until the end, but it appears that she will be the one to leave them first.
"Jisoo, I'm not sure if she'll literally abandon us. It stings. It's too much for me. She has given up." I sobbed to her as she wrapped her arms around me. All I remember is that we were sleeping peacefully in our house and that we had just met her son yesterday here in the hospital.
She is content. I know she's happy to introduce his son to us, and she's happy that we met him and accepted his son despite all of her lies and plan. Her expression was clear yesterday, and we could feel it. She is sincere in everything she has told us, and we forgive her because she has apologized for every sin she has committed.
We became more open-minded and understood her reasons, and we didn't forget to teach her some lessons and rants about how she made things worse and more complicated, but we just have to move on because it's all done and nothing to do with us. It's fine as long as they're safe and sound now. She isn't doing well right now.
Jisoo wakes me up in the middle of the night, saying that Seulgi had called her and that Seulgi had broken down, saying that Irene had fallen into a deep sleep, causing her to become partially comatose.
First and foremost. I'm not paying attention to her because I thought she was playing a joke on me, and I can't understand what she's saying because I'm half asleep. It was, in fact, in the middle of the night, but my guts and feelings were strange, and Jisoo was serious. I know it's true because it causes me to wake up, and it feels like someone has poured me a whole bucket of ice. My heart broke into a million pieces as I realized she had gone so quickly and added to her burden.
