CHAPTER 23JEONGYEON
I'm at a loss for words as to how I'm feeling right now. A jumble of emotions is dominating my entire body, and I'm not sure what will happen to me next if something triggers it. Moonbyul didn't let me work in the bar for two days to mentally and physically prepare myself for today, which was a huge help to me. And I felt bad for my babe, my one and only, Nayeon.
That I'm lying to her and telling her that I'm busy with our business when, in fact, I'm busy preparing and looking for the set up that Miss Lay and her team completed earlier, and Jisoo told me that she'll be meeting with Manoban, which is a blessing in disguise for me because we encountered a problem while completing the engagement proposal that is being addressed as much as possible
From the helicopter that Lisa volunteered to let me borrow for a while, from the set-up in the back of the bar if this day will end, from the foods that came from SWJ's Restaurant, from Bae's cafe restaurant, from the two days that I have been avoiding her message and not letting myself get any closer to her that ended up with us arguing about why I am treating her like that. I didn't see Jisoo or Chaeng, but I know they'll be at the location after I propose to her.
"Why do you appear to be so well-dressed? Is there anything special you'll be doing tonight?" She inquires of me.
"Yes. I have, and you'll be joining me in that event, Bal." I responded to her, and I know she's looking at me right now. "So, what exactly is it? You didn't tell me about the event, so why am I wearing this? I'm also exhausted from the earlier meeting, which was a success."
"Only somewhere. We'll be going somewhere. But first, I want you to change your appearance so that you don't appear tired, but rather fresh and casual." I said, and we stopped by a ladies clothing store, where I parked the car.
"What?" She asks, but I turn off the engine and smile at her, assuring her that she has nothing to worry about.
"Come on, let's go. Let's get started." I utter and lean in to kiss her on the cheeks.
"I'm afraid of you right now. Did you realize that?" She responded, but all I could do was laugh. "You are not required to. Hmm. Okay?"
I stepped outside the car, opened the door for her, took her hand, and guided her inside the store. The staff greeted us, and they'll know what's going on today because Miss Lay informed them, and I went to see the owner and manager yesterday to look for the dress she'll be wearing. I'm with her Mom and my Mom to choose one that they almost argued about what she'll wear, and I'm glad they decided on something more decent and not too revealing.
It's not easy to talk to her parents and get their blessing one month ago without her consent, and I almost passed out from nervousness. Not until her father is just messing with me and threatening me because I want to marry their daughter. Nayeon had no idea, and I'm grateful that they allowed me to propose to their daughter.
They also told me about taking care of their daughter and how I am good to her that they can see all the time, and I really appreciate that they accept me into their family despite the fact that we haven't reached the marriage level yet. My parents have been there for me until today, and they are preparing a dinner with Nayeon's parents for tomorrow's dinner party because of our engagement, despite the fact that their daughter hasn't said yes to me yet.
It feels so unrealistic. The feeling is too much overflowing and I can't stop it. It's hard but I know it's going to be worth it. It'll gonna be no matter what. I won't let her say no to me and I'll fight for the love that I am feeling towards her until the end.
