Chapter 3

Gusto ko na sana siyang iwan sa inis pero nagawa akong pigilan nang babaeng to.

So, mom planned all of this huh.

"Chill, okay? You just have to be one of the crews for a month." I bitterly chuckle.

"A month? A fucking month? Ano bang tingin mo sa isang buwan ha? Isang oras lang sa isang araw?" Pilit kong hininaan ang boses para di kami masyadong marinig nag iba.

"Lisa, I don't understand, okay? Can you just speak in english?" I slammed my hand in the table na ikinabigla niya at nang iba pang costumers.

"Look, I really can't do this. If you want to help me, get out of my sight, and let me go back in Thailand. I wanna talk to mom."

She look at me in disbelief. Napakagat nalang siya sa labi bago huminga nang malalim.

"This is worst than I expected, but this is what your mom wants. You don't want to disappoint your mother, do you?" I rolled my eyes.

"And you're using her for me to do this?"

"Can't I? You know, I took this favor from her because I know she wants you to learn something. I wanna do this smoothly from the start, but here we are already." I greeted my teeth.

"What's your point aside from the fact that this is all your plan!?" She let a heave.

Hah! I can't believe this. I feel like I'm being blackmailed again.

"Look, Tita Chitt trusted me on this. You don't know how much she loves you, Lis. At least try to pay her for doing this." Tinignan ko lang siya nang masama.

Bakit ba napaka netong babaeng to?
Bakit ba sobrang lakas nang mga tira niya?

"Are you gonna do it, or not?" She asked.

"Whatever." And she smile like telling me that she wins.

I know, I can't pay my debts towards mom for raising me kahit hindi magandang ugali meron ako. I admitted it. Alam ko rin naman na nahihirapan siya sa trabaho nung araw pero sinikap niya padin kaya nga kapag siya na yung pinag-uusapan di ko na kayang kumontra.

"Good. Starting from today I'll be your manager. You'll do what I say lalo na kapag tungkol na sa trabaho at lalo na kapag nandito ka sa restaurant. That was just for a month, at kapag natuto kana I'll give you my position." I rolled my eyes.

"Position your ass. I graduated Accountancy, yet I'll end up being a crew, being a manager? That's not what I deserve!"

"Yes, but before you could manage something like this with that ATTITUDE of yours, you need to get through every position here whether its the lowest, or the highest. You need to understand how it feels, and how it works so you could manage it well." I hissed.

"If that's the deal, then try me."

"Of course. We'll get there soon." I rolled my eyes again.

Nakakainis kasi eh. Gusto kong mainis rin siya pero kung makapag salita parang anghel na bumaba sa langit.

Di niya ba magawang sumigaw? At least naman may pagkakaabalahan kami.

"This is your order, Ms. This is our latest dish both from P&M's. Please, enjoy the food." Sabi nang server na di maya't maya nakatingin na sakin.

Gusto ko sana siyang sawayin pero di ko nalang ginawa. Nakatingin kasi sakin tong bruha sa harapan ko eh.

"Thanks. You can go now." She told the server saka ito umalis.

"Don't look at them like that." She uttered saka nilagay ang napkin sa paanan niya.

"Who cares? Siya naman naunang tumingin ah?" Inis na sabi ko.
